Royal Paradise Night Market

4.1(1,148 reviews)

Tucked off Rat Uthit Song Roi Pi Road in the heart of Patong, this night market complex occupies a side-street setting a short walk from the beach, making it a convenient option for travellers staying in the area. The mix of souvenir stalls, clothing vendors, and small eateries gives it a browsable, unhurried character that contrasts with Patong's busier commercial strips. Bargaining is expected and welcomed here, and vendors are generally approachable — shopping around before settling on a price is worthwhile. Visitors should arrive with measured expectations. Recent visitor feedback suggests the market has lost some of its former energy, with a number of stalls closed and fewer food vendors than a traditional Thai night market typically offers. What remains is a quieter, somewhat low-key atmosphere that some find pleasantly relaxed and others find underwhelming. It suits a casual evening wander or a quick souvenir run more than a dedicated night market experience. Good to know: Operating hours are not publicly listed and activity levels can vary considerably by season, day of the week, and time of evening. Those hoping for a lively, bustling atmosphere are advised to check current conditions with their accommodation before making a special trip. For guests already staying nearby, it remains a convenient and easy addition to an evening in Patong without requiring any additional travel.

Visitor Reviews

23rd floor has a very nice overview of the patong city. and very close to the mall, walk street to the beach.

This is a neat little area off the main road. There are plenty of shops around, but it can look kind of sketchy at some points. Although there are always people around and you basically have nothing to worry about, it just may seem that way. Lots of tiny store fronts, and a bunch of bars for the night life, it's easy to keep walking down each corridor to find something new.

Great spot for food, drinks and souvenir shopping while in Patong. The locals are friendly and will barter on prices and make sure to shop around to get the best prices.

Tips for Visiting Markets & Shopping

Haggle at Markets, Not Malls

Prices at market stalls are negotiable — start at 50–60% of the asking price and meet in the middle. Fixed-price shops and malls don't haggle. Smile and keep it friendly; aggressive bargaining is considered rude.

Arrive Early or Late

Vendors believe the first sale of the day is lucky — you'll often get a better deal if you arrive right when the market opens. Late in the evening, sellers may also discount to avoid packing unsold goods.

Be Cautious with Tailors

Bangkok has excellent tailors, but also many tourist traps. Avoid anyone offering suspiciously cheap suits or who approaches you on the street. Ask your hotel for recommendations, read reviews, and always get two fittings.
