Patong Social Phuket Restaurant & Hotel - Best Indian & Thai Food
Located in the heart of Patong, this combined restaurant and hotel serves both Indian and Thai cuisine under one roof, drawing a loyal following from travellers seeking genuine flavour from either tradition. The kitchen handles both menus with confidence — standout dishes include pineapple fried rice served in a fresh pineapple, mutton biryani, Tom Kha soup, and chicken with cashew nuts. Vegetarians, particularly those seeking Gujarati-style Indian cooking, will find it a reliable choice, with dishes like onion pakoda drawing specific praise from reviewers. The atmosphere is described by visitors as clean and welcoming, and the kitchen accommodates special requests, making it a comfortable option for diners with dietary needs or preferences. The venue functions as both a restaurant and a hotel, so guests staying on-site benefit from the convenience of having meals steps from their room, though walk-in diners are equally well catered for. Good to know: The restaurant opens at 10am and stays open until 2am every day of the week, making it one of the more flexible dining options in Patong for late arrivals or those finishing a long evening out. Reservations and inquiries can be made directly via WhatsApp using the contact number listed on the venue's website. Given the late closing time, it is worth planning transport in advance if dining after midnight.

Visitor Reviews
If you’re vegetarian and craving proper Indian, especially Gujarati food, don’t waste time looking elsewhere. This place truly delivers. The onion pakoda (bhaji) is a must — crispy, fresh, and full of flavor. If you are Indian/Gujju chai/tea lover, make sure you order one. It’s made just right and goes perfectly with the snacks. Just ask for extra sugar! The staff are genuinely warm and welcoming, always serving with a smile. That kind of hospitality makes a big difference. Do try the hing aloo gobi with chapati. It’s simple, homestyle food — comforting and satisfying. You may want a little extra salt depending on your taste. Overall, great food, good vibes, and a place I’d happily visit again ❤️
This was my second time dining here and it was just as great as the first. The pineapple fried rice served in a fresh pineapple was flavorful, fresh, and beautifully presented. The strawberry smoothie was also delicious and refreshing. The server was amazing—very polite and always nearby, ready to help whenever we needed anything. The service made the experience even better. The atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable, making it a great place to sit, eat, and enjoy the meal. I will definitely be coming back again. Highly recommend!
This place is just beautiful for food and atmosphere. We ate Indian curry first time round which was incredible. Led us back to spending our last night in patong having delicious Thai food. Clean, friendly and atmospheric we highly recommend. We also hope so much to be back here and enjoy this food again. 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟 thank you 🙏🏼 (try everything if you do come. It’s worth it!!!)

Learn the Spice Scale
Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.
Follow the Crowds
The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.
Ice Is Safe
Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
