Patong Social Phuket Restaurant & Hotel - Best Indian & Thai Food
Sitting in the heart of Patong, this combined restaurant and hotel has built a strong reputation for serving both Indian and Thai cuisine with genuine confidence. Rather than treating one menu as an afterthought, the kitchen handles both traditions with care — a combination that has drawn repeat visitors from the wider Phuket area. Standout dishes from reviewers include pineapple fried rice served inside a fresh pineapple, mutton biryani, Tom Kha soup, and chicken with cashew nuts. Those seeking vegetarian Indian food, particularly Gujarati-style cooking, will find the menu reliably accommodating, with dishes like onion pakoda drawing consistent praise. The atmosphere is described by visitors as clean and welcoming, and the kitchen is noted for taking special dietary requests seriously. The venue functions as both a restaurant and a hotel, meaning guests staying on-site have the convenience of dining steps from their room, though walk-in diners are equally well served. The setting feels comfortable for solo travellers, couples, and groups alike. Good to know: The restaurant opens at 10am and closes at 2am every day of the week, making it a practical choice for late arrivals or those finishing a long evening in Patong. Enquiries and reservations can be made via WhatsApp using the contact details listed on the venue's website. If dining after midnight, it is worth arranging transport in advance, as options in the area can be limited at that hour.

Visitor Reviews
If you’re vegetarian and craving proper Indian, especially Gujarati food, don’t waste time looking elsewhere. This place truly delivers. The onion pakoda (bhaji) is a must — crispy, fresh, and full of flavor. If you are Indian/Gujju chai/tea lover, make sure you order one. It’s made just right and goes perfectly with the snacks. Just ask for extra sugar! The staff are genuinely warm and welcoming, always serving with a smile. That kind of hospitality makes a big difference. Do try the hing aloo gobi with chapati. It’s simple, homestyle food — comforting and satisfying. You may want a little extra salt depending on your taste. Overall, great food, good vibes, and a place I’d happily visit again ❤️
This was my second time dining here and it was just as great as the first. The pineapple fried rice served in a fresh pineapple was flavorful, fresh, and beautifully presented. The strawberry smoothie was also delicious and refreshing. The server was amazing—very polite and always nearby, ready to help whenever we needed anything. The service made the experience even better. The atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable, making it a great place to sit, eat, and enjoy the meal. I will definitely be coming back again. Highly recommend!
This place is just beautiful for food and atmosphere. We ate Indian curry first time round which was incredible. Led us back to spending our last night in patong having delicious Thai food. Clean, friendly and atmospheric we highly recommend. We also hope so much to be back here and enjoy this food again. 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟 thank you 🙏🏼 (try everything if you do come. It’s worth it!!!)

Tips for Visiting Restaurants & Food
Learn the Spice Scale
Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.
Follow the Crowds
The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.
Ice Is Safe
Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
