Bangla Night Market
Situated in the heart of Patong along the famous Bangla Road, this open-air night market is a well-established evening destination combining street food, fresh seafood, casual shopping, and a high-energy atmosphere. It draws a consistent mix of tourists and locals, particularly on weekends when the crowds thicken and the buzz of the surrounding entertainment district adds to the experience. Food is the clear centrepiece here. Stalls serve a wide range of Thai street dishes including pad thai, stir-fried rice, grilled seafood, and fruit shakes, alongside finger foods and snacks. Seafood in particular draws strong interest, though some visitors have reported pushy vendors and pricing that warrants attention. Browsing the shopping stalls, visitors will find clothing, souvenirs, and assorted goods at prices that generally allow room for bargaining. The market opens at 6pm every night of the week and runs until 2am, making it a natural fit for evening plans before or after exploring the wider Bangla Road area. Arriving around 8pm means the market is in full swing and the temperature has eased. Bringing small denomination cash is advisable, as most vendors do not accept cards. Those buying seafood should confirm prices clearly before ordering to avoid any misunderstanding at the time of payment.

Visitor Reviews
I went last week saturday around 20h00. It was quite busy but you could move around. It has a lot of markets selling Thai food from proper meals like pad thai and stir fried rice, to finger food like spring rolls and pork on a stick. They also sell fruits, some prepared and ready to eat (no fruit salads though). They also had some clothes and bags. The interesting ones were the guys with scorpions where you could take a picture for 10 baht if not buying. Vendors keep stopping you to buy from them, which is to be expected but can get annoying, but just refuse politely. Prices for food was reasonable and written, so no negotiations needed. They were playing some music but you could talk. There was a bar for drinks where you could sit down and rest and eat your food from other stalls as long as you buy something from them, too. I went for food stalls and the vibe.

After exploring the market, you’re steps away from top pubs and dance clubs like Illuzion, Tiger Nightclub, Sugar Club, and Barfunk — perfect for partying, live DJs, and late-night vibes. Haggle at Markets, Not Malls
Prices at market stalls are negotiable — start at 50–60% of the asking price and meet in the middle. Fixed-price shops and malls don't haggle. Smile and keep it friendly; aggressive bargaining is considered rude.
Arrive Early or Late
Vendors believe the first sale of the day is lucky — you'll often get a better deal if you arrive right when the market opens. Late in the evening, sellers may also discount to avoid packing unsold goods.
Be Cautious with Tailors
Bangkok has excellent tailors, but also many tourist traps. Avoid anyone offering suspiciously cheap suits or who approaches you on the street. Ask your hotel for recommendations, read reviews, and always get two fittings.
