Bangla Night Market
Sitting in the heart of Patong along Bangla Road, this open-air night market draws a consistent crowd of tourists and locals every evening of the week. Its central location makes it a natural stopping point before or after exploring the wider entertainment strip, and the atmosphere builds steadily as the night progresses. Street food is the main draw, with stalls serving pad thai, stir-fried rice, grilled seafood, fruit shakes, and an assortment of finger foods alongside clothing and souvenir shopping. The market carries genuine energy, particularly on weekends when the surrounding area fills out and the buzz of Bangla Road adds to the experience. Seafood features prominently across the stalls and attracts strong interest, though visitors should confirm prices clearly before ordering, as some vendors have been reported to charge more than initially indicated. Bargaining is standard practice at the shopping stalls, and most vendors operate on a cash-only basis. The market opens at 6pm every night and runs through to 2am. Arriving around 8pm tends to be a good balance, with the stalls in full swing and the heat of the day settled. Bringing small denomination Thai baht is advisable, as card payments are not widely accepted. Those with dietary preferences toward seafood or meat will find plenty of options, though vegetarian choices are more limited.

Visitor Reviews
I went last week saturday around 20h00. It was quite busy but you could move around. It has a lot of markets selling Thai food from proper meals like pad thai and stir fried rice, to finger food like spring rolls and pork on a stick. They also sell fruits, some prepared and ready to eat (no fruit salads though). They also had some clothes and bags. The interesting ones were the guys with scorpions where you could take a picture for 10 baht if not buying. Vendors keep stopping you to buy from them, which is to be expected but can get annoying, but just refuse politely. Prices for food was reasonable and written, so no negotiations needed. They were playing some music but you could talk. There was a bar for drinks where you could sit down and rest and eat your food from other stalls as long as you buy something from them, too. I went for food stalls and the vibe.
Bangla Night Market, Phuket 🌃🍢🔥 A vibrant spot for Thai street food, fruit shakes, and quick shopping, located just off Bangla Road. After exploring the market, you’re steps away from top pubs and dance clubs like Illuzion, Tiger Nightclub, Sugar Club, and Barfunk — perfect for partying, live DJs, and late-night vibes. Busy, colourful, and great for food + nightlife in one place!

Tips for Visiting Markets & Shopping
Haggle at Markets, Not Malls
Prices at market stalls are negotiable — start at 50–60% of the asking price and meet in the middle. Fixed-price shops and malls don't haggle. Smile and keep it friendly; aggressive bargaining is considered rude.
Arrive Early or Late
Vendors believe the first sale of the day is lucky — you'll often get a better deal if you arrive right when the market opens. Late in the evening, sellers may also discount to avoid packing unsold goods.
Be Cautious with Tailors
Bangkok has excellent tailors, but also many tourist traps. Avoid anyone offering suspiciously cheap suits or who approaches you on the street. Ask your hotel for recommendations, read reviews, and always get two fittings.
