Oceanfront Beach Resort

4.5(2,973 reviews)

The trick here is the distance. You're on Phrabaramee Road, close enough to Patong's beach and bars to make a night of it, far enough up that the resort itself stays quiet. Guests keep coming back to the same two things in their reviews: the pool and the view from it. Rooms run large, and the Premium Comfy category comes with a balcony and a bathtub big enough for two. There's a bar and a restaurant on site, so you don't have to go out unless you want to.

Families get real value from it. The kids' nursery draws warm write-ups, with staff named by guests in their reviews. Balance that against a serious complaint about a late arrival with a baby, where the night reception handled a milk request badly. If you're landing after midnight with an infant, call the resort first and get the details confirmed by someone rather than assuming. Party-focused travellers who want to stumble home from Bangla might find the shuttle a bit of a faff.

Reviews from Google

We had a truly relaxing and comfortable stay at Oceanfront Beach Resort. From the moment we arrived, the vibe was calm, peaceful, and perfect for unwinding. We stayed in a Premium Comfy Room with a bathtub and balcony, and it exceeded our expectations. The room was very spacious with ample storage and all the necessary amenities provided. The bathtub was surprisingly big — perfect for a couple to relax together after a long day. The bed was super comfortable, and we enjoyed excellent sleep throughout our 4-night stay. The infinity pool was definitely one of the biggest highlights of the resort. Watching the sunset from the pool overlooking the ocean was an unforgettable experience. It’s the perfect spot to relax, click pictures, or simply soak in the view. The breakfast spread was good with a decent variety of options. While the items were slightly repetitive across days, the quality and taste were satisfying. Another great convenience was the hotel’s complimentary shuttle service to Patong and Bangla Road, running every hour from 9:30 AM, with the last shuttle at 8:30 PM — making it easy to explore and return comfortably. Overall, Oceanfront Beach Resort is a wonderful choice if you’re looking for relaxation, comfort, and beautiful sunset views in Phuket. Would definitely recommend it!

Amazing hotel with a breathtaking room view. The service was excellent and the in-room facilities were perfect and comfortable. The pool area was beautiful and very relaxing. The best part of our stay was the kids’ nursery — fully equipped, clean, and very welcoming. The staff were incredibly kind and caring with my child. He was always happy and excited to go there. Special thanks to Mia and Tena 🤍

Worst arrival experience, completely unsafe for families with babies This was one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve had, especially as a family travelling with a baby. We had clearly shared our international flight details in advance and informed the resort that a baby was travelling with us. Due to a flight delay from Sydney, we arrived around 11:30 pm. From the moment we checked in, the night reception staff were rude, careless, and showed zero empathy. Our baby needed milk. We were bluntly told “kitchen is closed, nothing can be done”. No alternatives were offered — no help ordering from outside, no assistance even if we paid. After a long international journey, we were left without food and without help, while our baby cried for a long time from hunger. We then asked for help to clean our baby’s milk bottle. This was also refused. Only after repeatedly insisting and raising our voice did staff reluctantly assist. No family should ever have to fight with hotel staff to meet a baby’s basic needs. This was a distressing, humiliating, and unacceptable first night. The next morning, despite having two bookings under the same stay, the hotel refused shuttle service for one booking and simply told us to “contact Booking.com” instead of taking responsibility or even listening. We paid extra to upgrade our room, and on the very same evening, the bathroom drain clogged and water flooded into the room. While a plumber came quickly, this should never happen in a paid upgrade. To be fair, a few staff members were excellent and deserve recognition: • Nicole (bar/kitchen) – kind, proactive, and genuinely helpful with our baby. • Ken (kitchen) – polite and supportive. • Somza Aloha (kids’ area) – warm, caring, and great with children. Unfortunately, these individuals were exceptions. Front desk night staff and overall management standards are extremely poor. This resort markets itself as family-friendly, but based on our experience, it is absolutely NOT suitable for families with babies. Poor attitude, no accountability, and no basic compassion. I strongly advise families to look elsewhere.

Book Shoulder Season

May–June and September–October offer dramatic discounts (30–50% off peak rates) with fewer crowds. Weather is mixed but rarely a washout — afternoon showers clear quickly.

Compare OTAs and Direct Rates

Always check the hotel's own website after finding a rate on Agoda or Booking.com. Many Thai properties offer a best-rate guarantee or throw in perks like free breakfast when you book direct.

Pool Villa Doesn't Mean Expensive

Private pool villas in Krabi, Hua Hin, and Chiang Mai start around 2,500–4,000 THB/night — a fraction of Bali or Maldives prices. Search specifically for 'pool villa' to surface hidden gems.
