V Beach Resort
Situated along Highway 4233 in Kathu, V Beach Resort operates as a budget-level resort hotel in one of Phuket's more accessible inland districts. The property's location provides reasonable proximity to the island's beaches and the broader range of dining, shopping, and entertainment options found throughout the Kathu area, making it geographically convenient for travellers exploring Phuket on a tighter budget. However, travellers should approach this property with realistic expectations. Visitor accounts consistently raise concerns about room cleanliness, maintenance standards, and service reliability. Reported issues include unclean rooms at check-in, faulty bathroom fittings, poorly functioning air conditioning, and problems with pool safety. Guests have also reported overbooking incidents and room allocation disputes that were not resolved satisfactorily by staff. These patterns suggest the property may not yet deliver a consistent or comfortable stay. Good to know: Phuket's peak season runs from November to February, when weather conditions are most favourable for beach-based travel. Before booking V Beach Resort, it is strongly advisable to read current reviews carefully, confirm room type and availability directly through the resort's website at vbeachresort.top, and consider what recourse options are available should the accommodation not match expectations on arrival. Travel insurance that covers accommodation disruptions is worth considering.

Visitor Reviews
Budget hotel that is run down. Dangerous pool, half stuck on tiles with edges sticking out and no barriers. Pools is very deep, shallow bit is small. Saying that, today they started repairing/ renovating the place, so maybe it will be much better soon. Rooms are dated but clean,. Ground floor door locks could be opened with a sneeze. But no issues with security, plenty of CCTV cameras. Location, 30 mins from town ( heavy traffic), about 300 baht. Tuk tuks are a rip off, wanting 500-1000. Use Grab or local app Bolt. A few good restraunts nearby and a 7-11. Staff were very good, any issues we had, they sorted it quickly .I f you are wanting a budget hotel. Then this is the place for you.
Worst hotel experience I had in my life. We had a booking for 3 nights, 4 people. When we arrived at the hotel, staff told us that they overbooked and our room wasn’t available, they gave us a room with only 3 bed , and the room was the dirtiest room I saw. You’ll find in the picture : pee on the toilet, mold on the walls, dirty windows. The bed was hard like a brick. We just asked the hotel to cancel our booking so we can book something else. Staff said ok ( they don’t speak a good english but we translate to them ) but they said to Booking.com that they didn’t want to cancel when we left so we had no refund. Enjoy the pictures and please avoid this place, Thailand has so much more to offer!
The place is good if you’re looking for a budget-friendly option. However, we booked a pool view/garden view room, and instead we were given a room with a wall view. When we raised this issue, we were told that no other rooms were available, which shows that booking in advance with specific amenities is not guaranteed here. We also requested a chair or stand to dry wet clothes, which is usually provided in all rooms, but not in ours. I followed up with the staff continuously for two days, and each time they said it would be done in “30 minutes.” Unfortunately, those 30 minutes turned into two days (or more).
Tips for Visiting Hotels & Resorts
Book Shoulder Season
May–June and September–October offer dramatic discounts (30–50% off peak rates) with fewer crowds. Weather is mixed but rarely a washout — afternoon showers clear quickly.
Compare OTAs and Direct Rates
Always check the hotel's own website after finding a rate on Agoda or Booking.com. Many Thai properties offer a best-rate guarantee or throw in perks like free breakfast when you book direct.
Pool Villa Doesn't Mean Expensive
Private pool villas in Krabi, Hua Hin, and Chiang Mai start around 2,500–4,000 THB/night — a fraction of Bali or Maldives prices. Search specifically for 'pool villa' to surface hidden gems.
