ABCYQ Hotel

3.9(58 reviews)

ABCYQ Hotel is a budget lodging option situated in the Ratchathewi district of Bangkok, positioned within walking distance of Pratunam morning market and Platinum Fashion Mall, making it a convenient base for shoppers and market-goers exploring this busy commercial neighbourhood. Guests should approach this property with realistic expectations. Rooms are reported to be on the smaller side and may not match promotional photos. Previous visitors have noted issues including dated furnishings, ageing air-conditioning units, and inconsistent room maintenance. The lobby area is shared with storage and packing operations, giving the property a more functional than hotel-like atmosphere. On the positive side, the location is frequently cited as a genuine advantage, with affordable pricing that may appeal to budget-conscious travellers prioritising proximity to the Pratunam shopping precinct over comfort and polish. Practically speaking, the hotel is located deep inside Soi Phetchaburi 19, which can make it difficult to locate by taxi — travellers are advised to research the exact route in advance and share a map pin with their driver rather than relying on the address alone. Checking recent guest reviews before booking is recommended, as conditions at budget properties in this category can vary. Prospective guests who place a premium on cleanliness, room quality, or attentive service may want to compare nearby alternatives before committing.

Visitor Reviews

Good things is located very near to the Pratunum morning market and close to Platinum mall. Pricewise -affordable and should be satisfactory Rooms can be a bit small. Beware about street ,in the morning ,the street is very extra busy with street vendors and taxi and shops. So,you have to walk through like a maze. If you like affordable, cheap, good location ,could be your place. But you can also find other hotels with the same price in other street instead of 19th street. They clean the room everyday if you want.

Location is very good. But the room is old and dirty, I found 2 living cockroaches. There's no remote for the TV and no hair dryer. Water is dripping from the air-conditioner.

Doesn't look like a hotel when step into lobby as can see many goods and cartons around. The lobby has space for workers packing goods. Place is difficult to find by taxi, It is located deep inside alley. Needs 10 minutes to drive into alley and another 10-15 minutes drive out of alley to main road, depending on traffic. Room is small, floor is slippery. Bed is dirty. One level has 5 rooms and every room is located very near one another. No soundproof at all as the hotel issues old type key which needs insert to open and close door. Aircon is very cold, temperature cannot be adjusted at all, Always 16 degree celsius. Can't sleep well whole night. Mosquitoes at lobby.

Tips for Visiting Hotels & Resorts

Book Shoulder Season

May–June and September–October offer dramatic discounts (30–50% off peak rates) with fewer crowds. Weather is mixed but rarely a washout — afternoon showers clear quickly.

Compare OTAs and Direct Rates

Always check the hotel's own website after finding a rate on Agoda or Booking.com. Many Thai properties offer a best-rate guarantee or throw in perks like free breakfast when you book direct.

Pool Villa Doesn't Mean Expensive

Private pool villas in Krabi, Hua Hin, and Chiang Mai start around 2,500–4,000 THB/night — a fraction of Bali or Maldives prices. Search specifically for 'pool villa' to surface hidden gems.
