Pratunam Night Market
Tucked into the Ratchathewi district near Phaya Thai, this energetic market runs every day from 9am to 11:30pm and draws a steady crowd of both locals and travellers hunting for affordable finds. Stalls are packed tightly together selling a broad mix of clothing, fashion accessories, electronics, Thai souvenirs, and street snacks — the kind of place where visitors regularly end up buying far more than they intended. The atmosphere leans toward organised chaos, particularly after dark, with vendors and shoppers moving in all directions through narrow aisles. That energy is a large part of the appeal. The product range is wide enough to keep different types of shoppers occupied, whether the goal is picking up trendy clothing, everyday items, or something to take home as a gift. That said, the market is on the smaller side compared to some of Bangkok's other street markets, so arriving with realistic expectations about scale makes for a better experience. Good to know: The market is straightforward to reach via BTS Phaya Thai station, avoiding the need for a taxi from most parts of Bangkok. Daytime hours tend to be quieter and easier for browsing, while evenings bring more atmosphere but also larger crowds and tighter conditions. Wear comfortable shoes suited to navigating busy, narrow stalls, and bring a bag with enough room for purchases. Check the Facebook page linked in this listing for updates on vendors or any changes to trading hours.

Visitor Reviews
It is very busy here so I couldn't get lots of photos but it is a fantastic night market. You can get almost anything here from food to clothes to electronics to Thai souvenirs. This market has it all. I got some great pieces of clothing. I also got some sugar cane juice, dried mango and some prawns for an absolute bargain!
0200 am is opening time of this huge wholesale market for supply chain in Bangkok. All the retailers restaurants and hotels get their fresh supplies from this market and it was really nice to see how Thai Treat their citizens with fresh fish meat vegetables and fruits. In retail I bought my first coconut water for 90 Bhat but here in this market I got 10 for just 100. The profit margin for retailers is enough being a tourist runned economy however the good thing was that they sell fresh. It was a brief but great experience and would love to visit again whenever I get chance to re visit Bangkok
Pratunam night market is a fun and lively place to explore at night. There are so many clothing stalls with affordable prices, and it’s great for bargain hunting. The area feels busy and energetic, but that’s part of the experience. I enjoyed walking around, shopping (even though the specific store i was looking for was already closed at 8pm, it was a bit sad), but many other shops are still open. Definitely worth visiting if you like night shopping in Bangkok.

Tips for Visiting Markets & Shopping
Haggle at Markets, Not Malls
Prices at market stalls are negotiable — start at 50–60% of the asking price and meet in the middle. Fixed-price shops and malls don't haggle. Smile and keep it friendly; aggressive bargaining is considered rude.
Arrive Early or Late
Vendors believe the first sale of the day is lucky — you'll often get a better deal if you arrive right when the market opens. Late in the evening, sellers may also discount to avoid packing unsold goods.
Be Cautious with Tailors
Bangkok has excellent tailors, but also many tourist traps. Avoid anyone offering suspiciously cheap suits or who approaches you on the street. Ask your hotel for recommendations, read reviews, and always get two fittings.
