Rajadamnern Stadium

Rajadamnern Stadium is the oldest Muay Thai stadium in Thailand, opened in 1945 and rebuilt in 2022 as an air-conditioned, 360-degree arena on Ratchadamnoen Nok Avenue, a short ride from Khao San Road and the Old City temples. Fights run seven nights a week: knockout formats early in the week, traditional five-round bouts on Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday, and the flagship Rajadamnern World Series on Saturday nights, which draws the strongest cards and the biggest crowds. An evening here is as much ceremony as sport — the pre-fight wai khru dance, the live pi chawa band that quickens with the action, and a ringside crowd of regulars signalling odds by hand. Ticket tiers run from second-class seating to ringside and VIP lounges; the mid-tier club class is close enough to hear the strikes land without ringside pricing. Doors open in the late afternoon and the main bouts start around 19:00. Good to know: Thursday and Saturday are the nights with the best fights and they sell out first, so book through the stadium's own website a day or two ahead rather than a reseller. No dress code beyond shirts and shoes; food and drink are sold inside. The stadium is a 10-minute Grab from Khao San Road and about 20 minutes from Sukhumvit.
