Blue Elephant's Bangkok cooking school sits with its restaurant on South Sathorn Road, right at BTS Surasak, and it's the polished, premium choice among Bangkok's classes. Group classes take up to 20 people, the menu changes every day of the week, and each student goes home with the recipes, a certificate and an apron.
The morning class runs 08:45 to 13:00 and starts with a visit to a local market before you cook four traditional dishes. The afternoon class runs 13:30 to 16:00 and adds a Thai dessert to the four dishes, but has no market visit. A half day costs ฿3,800 plus tax on the school's booking system, two half days with eight dishes ฿7,000, and children aged 6 to 12 ฿1,900. A private half day with your own teacher costs ฿8,300, and a vegetarian menu is offered as a private full day.
The booking system takes reservations up to 24 hours ahead. You meet at the school, so there's no pickup, and BTS Surasak is the stop.
