Siam Paragon
One of Bangkok's most recognisable shopping destinations, this vast mall on Rama I Road anchors the Siam district alongside several other major centres. What sets it apart is its range — luxury and high-end fashion brands sit alongside mainstream retailers, with the upper floors famously featuring showrooms for prestige automotive marques including Rolls-Royce, Porsche, and Aston Martin. The interior is consistently praised for its refined design and sense of occasion, making it a destination worth visiting even for those not planning to shop. Beyond retail, the mall houses a multiplex cinema, a bowling alley, and SEA LIFE Bangkok Ocean World, one of the largest aquariums in Southeast Asia. The lower ground level is home to a gourmet food hall and supermarket, offering an excellent range of Thai and international produce. A dedicated food court area caters to those after a more casual meal, and the dining options across the building span a broad range of cuisines and price points. Open daily from 10:00 to 22:00, the mall is conveniently connected to BTS Siam station, making it straightforward to reach from most parts of the city. Weekends and public holidays tend to draw larger crowds, so visitors who prefer a quieter experience may find a weekday morning arrival more comfortable. The air-conditioned environment also makes it a popular refuge during Bangkok's hotter months.

Visitor Reviews
Siam Paragon has elevated itself to an entirely new level since my last visit in 2023. The transformation is immediately noticeable — the mall now feels even more prestigious, refined, and future-forward. There is a clear shift towards ultra high-end and luxury brands, not only throughout the shopping centre but also within the Paragon Department Store, reinforcing its position as Bangkok’s premier luxury retail destination. The highlight of this evolution is Level 5 – Nextopia, an exceptionally well-executed concept space that blends innovation, sustainability, creativity, and lifestyle seamlessly. From interactive zones and thoughtful sustainable ideas to curated art installations and stylish dining options, Nextopia feels inspiring, immersive, and distinctly global — a space that goes beyond shopping and truly reflects modern urban culture. Even the finer details reflect this upgrade. The toilets across the mall have been beautifully enhanced, which speaks volumes about Siam Paragon’s commitment to comfort, quality, and a truly premium visitor experience. Siam Paragon is no longer just a shopping mall — it is a luxury landmark and experiential destination that continues to reinvent itself with sophistication and vision. Absolutely world-class and a must-visit every time I’m in Bangkok.
A must visit shopping mall if visiting Bangkok. The mall is huge with gorgeous decos. The shops offer famous high end brands from fashions to exclusive jewelleries and other branded products. There are many restaurants that specialise on traditional to modern fusion cuisines. Parents can entertain their children at the amusement section. A huge selection of household items can be found too. One day is just not enough to cover the whole of Siam Paragon. 😍😍
The shopping mall is very big and beautiful. There are lots of stores that I could spend a whole day browsing. The lower ground level is a gourmet food court and supermarket. My friends and I bought the souvenirs there. For the food court, we went to the card counter to get a prepaid card (Max top up THB 500 for 30 days valid). No card fee, so you can get back all of your money when you return it.

Tips for Visiting Markets & Shopping
Haggle at Markets, Not Malls
Prices at market stalls are negotiable — start at 50–60% of the asking price and meet in the middle. Fixed-price shops and malls don't haggle. Smile and keep it friendly; aggressive bargaining is considered rude.
Arrive Early or Late
Vendors believe the first sale of the day is lucky — you'll often get a better deal if you arrive right when the market opens. Late in the evening, sellers may also discount to avoid packing unsold goods.
Be Cautious with Tailors
Bangkok has excellent tailors, but also many tourist traps. Avoid anyone offering suspiciously cheap suits or who approaches you on the street. Ask your hotel for recommendations, read reviews, and always get two fittings.
