Thai Cooking School
Situated in the Bang Rak district along Charoen Krung Road, this cooking school offers hands-on Thai cooking classes for travellers who want to bring a taste of Thailand home with them. The school caters to a range of group types, from couples and solo travellers to families with children, and runs both morning and evening sessions. Morning classes typically begin with a visit to a local outdoor market, where instructors guide participants through the ingredients that form the backbone of Thai cuisine, including fresh herbs, vegetables, and tropical fruits. Classes are led by experienced chef-teachers, with instructors such as Sarin, Nadcha, and Queen frequently mentioned by visitors for their warmth, expertise, and ability to make the experience both educational and enjoyable. Students can expect to cook multiple classic Thai dishes in a single session, leaving with practical techniques and recipes they can recreate at home. The school is straightforward to locate using Google Maps, which is useful given its position within a residential soi off Charoen Krung Road. As no website is currently listed, prospective visitors are advised to contact the school directly or book through a third-party tour platform to confirm availability, session times, and pricing before arriving. Booking in advance is recommended, particularly for those travelling with families or during peak tourist season.

Visitor Reviews
We can’t say enough good things about our experience here! For starters, we are sisters from the United States and booked this cooking class based on other reviews. We are so glad we did. Queen (chef) Natcha made the experience so memorable. She is clearly well educated and cares so much about cooking, and we had a blast learning from her. We found the school very easily after taking a Grab to the market, and spent the first part of the class walking around the market with Natcha as she taught us about local ingredients and unique foods to Thailand. We then got right into cooking and it was just absolutely amazing; everything we cooked was delicious. We were absolutely stuffed full by the end. Id recommend this class to anyone that wants a more authentic food experience in Thailand, especially for those that don’t have much cooking skill like us. We loved every moment of it. Thank you Natcha!
Sarin was the most amazing chef and teacher we could have hoped for! She guided us through cooking four delicious Thai dishes, sharing countless tips and tricks to help us elevate our cooking skills. Along the way, she gave us fascinating insights into Thai culture, making the experience both educational and enjoyable. We loved how hands-on and engaging the class was, and the best part? We got to take home a lot of the meals we prepared, so we could continue enjoying our creations later. Sarin’s warm and friendly personality made the class feel extra special—she truly made us feel welcome and at ease. If you’re looking for an unforgettable cooking class, this is it! I couldn’t recommend it more—it’s absolutely the best!
It is good to find with Google Maps. The market is outside in the morning so they go with the first group shopping too. We (2 adults and a child 11yrs) took the evening cooking course. Very nice location, very clean in the kitchen and during cooking. I loved that everyone of us could prepare its own dish, so one could cook mild while I prefered to have a bit of chili inside. Really nice and funny chef, excellent English, we really had a lot of fun and our dished were surprisingly excellent 😂.
Tips for Visiting Activities & Tours
Vet Elephant Sanctuaries
Only visit sanctuaries that prohibit riding, use no chains or bullhooks, and let elephants roam freely. Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai set the standard. If a place offers painting shows or circus tricks, walk away.
Book Through Klook or GetYourGuide
These platforms offer instant confirmation, free cancellation on most activities, and prices that are often lower than walk-up rates. Compare with local agencies for multi-day trips where negotiation might save more.
Do Outdoor Activities in the Morning
Heat and humidity peak from noon to 3 PM. Schedule jungle treks, cycling tours, and outdoor cooking classes for early morning. Water activities are more flexible since you're in and out of the sea.
