We visited this place for a Friday dinner, it was a short walk from our resort. The usher at the entrance was kind and friendly. We got hummus with chicken shwarma, lamb kibbeh, shish tawook and meat/cheese fatayer. All dishes were good, except the meat fatayer which was dry. The staff were all attentive and friendly. Will be back again :)

I recently visited Sultan Ao Nang Restaurant, and to be honest, the experience was a bit of a letdown. The place itself is decent, and the ambience is comfortable enough for a relaxed meal, but the food didn’t quite meet expectations. The main issue for me was the flavour, which felt somewhat bland compared to what I was expecting. The dishes looked good when served, but the taste didn’t have the richness or strong seasoning that usually makes meals memorable. What actually helped improve the experience were the sauces, which added much-needed flavour and made the food more enjoyable. Without the sauces, the dishes would have felt even more plain. Another downside is the pricing. For the portion sizes and the taste offered, the place felt slightly on the expensive side. When you’re paying a bit more, you naturally expect stronger flavours or something distinctive, which unfortunately wasn’t the case here. Service was fine and the staff were polite, so no complaints there, but overall the food itself felt underwhelming. It’s not a terrible place, but it didn’t stand out either. Personally, I left feeling that there are better value-for-money options around Ao Nang that offer more flavorful meals at similar or even lower prices.
