Reggae Town Bar and Restaurant
Reggae Town Bar and Restaurant is a standout fixture in Ao Nang's nightlife, drawing a loyal mix of tourists and locals with its nightly live music and genuinely infectious atmosphere. The resident band plays every evening, covering crowd-pleasing songs with high energy that keeps guests coming back — it's the kind of place where a quiet drink turns into a full night out. The setting is casual and welcoming, with cocktails, draft beer, and food on offer at mid-range prices. Chang draft beer is a popular order among regulars, and the cocktails get consistent praise. Staff are noted for being friendly and attentive, and the vibe strikes a balance between relaxed and lively — unhurried enough to settle in, but with enough energy to make the evening memorable. Occasional pub crawls pass through, adding to the social mix without disrupting the overall atmosphere. Good to know: Reggae Town opens at 5pm every day of the week and stays open until 2am, so there's no need to rush. Happy hour deals are available earlier in the evening, making it worth arriving before the night crowd builds. Dress code is firmly casual — beachwear and flip-flops are the norm. Check the venue's Facebook page for any event updates or schedule changes before visiting, particularly if coming with a group.

Visitor Reviews
This place is a must if you are in AoNang. The live music was amazing. The staff incredible. There was a pub crawl that came through for about 45 minutes but even that was fun to watch. We stayed for hours because it was such a great time. A great place to go for people who aren’t backpackers necessarily. It wasn’t just full of a bunch of annoying people in their early 20s. Immaculate vibes.
I’m on vacation with my mother, and she completely fell in love with this bar and especially with the band that plays here every night. They have such great energy and play amazing songs. So thank you to them, because my mother loves spending every evening here! And thank you to the staff as well. 🎀💞

Tips for Visiting Nightlife & Bars
Carry Your Passport or a Copy
Clubs and some bars check IDs strictly, especially in Bangkok's Thonglor, RCA, and Sukhumvit areas. A photo of your passport info page on your phone usually works, but carrying a laminated photocopy is safer.
Know the Closing Times
Legal closing time is 2 AM for most venues, though enforcement varies. In Bangkok's designated entertainment zones (RCA, Silom Soi 2/4, Khao San), some clubs stay open until 4 AM. Islands tend to be more relaxed about hours.
Buy Bucket Drinks Cautiously
Island bucket drinks (mixed spirits in a small bucket) are cheap and fun but notoriously strong and inconsistent. Stick to one, stay hydrated, and never leave your drink unattended at beach parties.
