Walking Street
Ao Nang's Walking Street is the social hub of Krabi's most popular beach town, drawing travellers and locals alike with its mix of clothing stores, restaurants, pubs, dance bars, and cafés spread along a busy pedestrian stretch. The atmosphere shifts noticeably as evening arrives, with colourful lights, crowd energy, and a constant flow of people from around the world giving it a festive, cosmopolitan feel. Shoppers will find a range of clothing stalls and small stores lining the street, while those looking to eat are well served by a diverse selection of cuisines, including Indian and vegetarian options, making it accessible to travellers with specific dietary needs. The nightlife side of the strip is prominent, with bars and entertainment venues that keep things lively well into the night. Open every day from 9:00am to 11:00pm, the street is accessible throughout the day, but most of the atmosphere builds in the evening hours when the strip truly comes to life. Visitors who plan to shop should approach individual stores with a clear idea of what they want, as pricing and customer service can vary between vendors. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended, as the street sees heavy foot traffic and is best explored on foot at a relaxed pace.

Visitor Reviews
Vibrant Nightlife at Ao Nang Walking Street I absolutely love the vibe of this street, especially at night. It comes alive with colorful lights and a constant buzz of people strolling around. With countless restaurants and souvenir shops, there’s always something to explore. Prices can be on the higher side, so it’s wise to shop around before making a purchase. Overall, a lively and memorable spot to experience Ao Nang's nightlife!

Tips for Visiting Markets & Shopping
Haggle at Markets, Not Malls
Prices at market stalls are negotiable — start at 50–60% of the asking price and meet in the middle. Fixed-price shops and malls don't haggle. Smile and keep it friendly; aggressive bargaining is considered rude.
Arrive Early or Late
Vendors believe the first sale of the day is lucky — you'll often get a better deal if you arrive right when the market opens. Late in the evening, sellers may also discount to avoid packing unsold goods.
Be Cautious with Tailors
Bangkok has excellent tailors, but also many tourist traps. Avoid anyone offering suspiciously cheap suits or who approaches you on the street. Ask your hotel for recommendations, read reviews, and always get two fittings.
