Hia Wan Khao Tom Pla is a Thai-Chinese rice soup shop on Chan Road in Sathon, and seafood is the whole menu. Every fish is sea-caught rather than farmed, and the signature is khao tom pla, soft-boiled rice with a juicy fillet of silver pomfret in a clear, clean soup. The red grouper is the other dish the MICHELIN Guide names.

The 2026 edition gives it a Bib Gourmand. It's open every day from 16:00 to 23:00, so it works as a late supper as well as dinner, and it's cash only. Bookings go through the shop by phone.
