C Bar
Tucked into the heart of Pai's bohemian town centre, C Bar is a compact and characterful watering hole that has built a loyal following among travellers and expats drawn to its warm, unpretentious atmosphere. The owner is frequently cited as a highlight in himself — welcoming, musically knowledgeable, and generous with both conversation and fair drink prices. The vintage décor, old-school screens, and disco ball give the space a nostalgic personality that stands out even in a town full of creative venues. Guests can expect cold beers, well-priced cocktails, and a soundtrack that leans heavily into 80s and 90s music — played with genuine enthusiasm rather than as background noise. The seating is described by visitors as comfortable and considered, and the intimate scale of the bar makes it easy to strike up conversation with fellow travellers. It opens seven nights a week, from 19:00 on weekdays and 18:30 on weekends, closing at midnight each night. Good to know: At least one recent visitor has reported that C Bar may have closed, with signage removed and no activity visible inside. Before making a special trip, it is worth asking locally in Pai or checking for updated information, as no website is currently available to confirm current trading status. If it is open, dress casually — Pai is an entirely relaxed town with no dress code expectations, and the bar's vibe suits exactly that.

Visitor Reviews
Wow, you will love this place when you are into 80/90ies retro and good real music, not only out of the Speakers but also on old school screens. Cold Beer and nice Cocktails. All topped by the lovely Owner Mr A, who does everything to make you feel comfortable. Come as a stranger and leave as a friend and family member. Many local Thai and Expat go there too
Small but charming! Vintage deco; I love the deco. The owner is super sweet and he gives good prices on drinks. You can buy a small bottle and split it as well. Seating is comfortable and posh. Ex-pats hangout. Less of the tourist vibes. Not a gay bar, just ran by an amazing gay man.
'C BAR', a popular bar in PAI, is a romantic and unique bar run by a sexy owner. The owner's musical level is very high. If you are looking for a bar with a compact and comfortable atmosphere here in PAI, I highly recommend visiting it.

Carry Your Passport or a Copy
Clubs and some bars check IDs strictly, especially in Bangkok's Thonglor, RCA, and Sukhumvit areas. A photo of your passport info page on your phone usually works, but carrying a laminated photocopy is safer.
Know the Closing Times
Legal closing time is 2 AM for most venues, though enforcement varies. In Bangkok's designated entertainment zones (RCA, Silom Soi 2/4, Khao San), some clubs stay open until 4 AM. Islands tend to be more relaxed about hours.
Buy Bucket Drinks Cautiously
Island bucket drinks (mixed spirits in a small bucket) are cheap and fun but notoriously strong and inconsistent. Stick to one, stay hydrated, and never leave your drink unattended at beach parties.
