twentytwo. Speakeasy Pai
Tucked away in the laid-back town of Pai, twentytwo. Speakeasy Pai is a cocktail bar that opened on Christmas Day and has quickly earned a reputation for its warm, welcoming atmosphere and polished execution. Despite being a relatively new venue, it already feels well-established, thanks in large part to staff who consistently go above and beyond — with regular visitors singling out team member Bo by name for exceptional friendliness. The bar leans into its speakeasy concept with a vibe that feels intimate and social rather than loud or chaotic — fitting for Pai's relaxed traveller crowd. Cocktails are the focus, and the venue is cannabis-friendly, which is noted as a rare combination in the area. The space draws a mix of locals and travellers looking for a genuinely convivial night out without the anonymity of a larger venue. Good to know: happy hour runs from 6pm to 9pm every day, offering a buy-two-get-one-free deal on drinks — making early evening the ideal time to arrive and settle in. The bar opens at 6pm seven days a week and closes at midnight, so it suits those after a relaxed evening rather than a late night out. Check the Instagram page linked above for updates on events or specials before heading over.

Visitor Reviews
Dropped in recently and this place is already doing things right. Having opened on Christmas Day 25 Dec, it’s impressive how polished it feels so early on. The location is spot on too, right next door to a great medical cannabis dispensary, which makes it an easy stop before or after. We had an Amaretto and Coke and a rum margarita, both were excellent. Well balanced, refreshing, and clearly made by people who know what they’re doing. The atmosphere is relaxed without trying too hard, which is harder to pull off than it sounds. Special mention to Bo. She was outstanding. Kind, attentive, and genuinely welcoming without being overbearing. Service like that makes you want to come back. If this is how they’re starting, this bar is going to be a local favourite very quickly.
A real hidden gem! This new bar has a super friendly atmosphere, great vibes, and an exceptional owner — warm, smiling, and incredibly welcoming. You instantly feel at home. Don’t hesitate to stop by, this place deserves to be packed! 🌞🌞
friendliest + loveliest staff especially BO! amazing prices on drinks and you can smoke weed here alongside the drinks which is rare! happy hour 6-9pm also for buy 2 get 1 free on drinks. highly recommend🤍

Carry Your Passport or a Copy
Clubs and some bars check IDs strictly, especially in Bangkok's Thonglor, RCA, and Sukhumvit areas. A photo of your passport info page on your phone usually works, but carrying a laminated photocopy is safer.
Know the Closing Times
Legal closing time is 2 AM for most venues, though enforcement varies. In Bangkok's designated entertainment zones (RCA, Silom Soi 2/4, Khao San), some clubs stay open until 4 AM. Islands tend to be more relaxed about hours.
Buy Bucket Drinks Cautiously
Island bucket drinks (mixed spirits in a small bucket) are cheap and fun but notoriously strong and inconsistent. Stick to one, stay hydrated, and never leave your drink unattended at beach parties.
