Ao Nang Local Market
Tucked away in Ao Nang, this traditional covered market caters primarily to local Thai residents rather than tourists, which is precisely what makes it worth a visit. Vendors sell a wide range of fresh seasonal produce — including tropical fruits like dragon fruit — alongside seafood, meat, and poultry. Ready-to-eat food stalls serve barbecued items and snacks, with cooked meals commonly available for under 100 baht, making it one of the more affordable eating options in the area. The atmosphere is unpretentious and genuinely local, offering a contrast to the polished night markets aimed at visitors. In addition to food, a small selection of clothing and everyday goods is on offer. The covered structure is a practical advantage during Krabi's frequent rain showers, keeping the market open and accessible regardless of the weather. The market operates on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays from 13:30 to 19:00, so visitors should plan accordingly — it is not open on weekends or most weekdays. It is located opposite a mountain Buddha landmark, which can help with navigation. Those expecting a large or tourist-oriented night market may find the scale modest, but travellers looking to eat well for very little and experience everyday Thai commerce will find it a worthwhile stop.

Visitor Reviews
A nice market for locals, with plenty of fresh seasonal vegetables, fruits, all kinds of seafood, meat, poultry,... Also there's already prepared/cooked meals, snacks and desserts. All on the back and the right hand side you also find clothing. So kind of everything you need for the daily life. The market is roofed, so you don't get wet when it's raining, or burned in the sun.
The night market is ok if you want it easy. This is a local market. Half the prices. They do barbecue so we had some means for under 100 Baht each. At leest visit! Its oppositie the Mountain buddhist temple.
We had some nice food, snacks, it’s always nice come and try something local, fresh made, feel the culture

Tips for Visiting Markets & Shopping
Haggle at Markets, Not Malls
Prices at market stalls are negotiable — start at 50–60% of the asking price and meet in the middle. Fixed-price shops and malls don't haggle. Smile and keep it friendly; aggressive bargaining is considered rude.
Arrive Early or Late
Vendors believe the first sale of the day is lucky — you'll often get a better deal if you arrive right when the market opens. Late in the evening, sellers may also discount to avoid packing unsold goods.
Be Cautious with Tailors
Bangkok has excellent tailors, but also many tourist traps. Avoid anyone offering suspiciously cheap suits or who approaches you on the street. Ask your hotel for recommendations, read reviews, and always get two fittings.
