Up To You Bar
Up To You Bar is a relaxed, welcoming spot in the heart of Ao Nang that has built a loyal following among travellers looking for good value drinks and easy company without the intensity of a full-on party venue. The free pool table is a genuine draw, with staff known to join in for a game, and the music is kept at a level where conversation is still comfortable — a balance that regulars consistently appreciate. Cocktails are a highlight, running at 100 THB during happy hour, which visitors report covers most of the day. Beers are reasonably priced, with Leo deals frequently available, though standard spirits are noted as slightly pricier by comparison. The drinks selection is extensive, the pours are generous, and the atmosphere is consistently described as friendly and unpretentious. Long-term staff appear to be a point of pride here, with some visitors recognising faces from visits years apart. Good to know: Up To You Bar opens at 11am and runs through to 3am every day of the week, making it equally viable as an afternoon chill-out spot or a late-night destination. If you are after value, arriving during the daytime happy hour period is the smart move for cocktails. The bar suits solo travellers and small groups particularly well, given the pool table and sociable staff. No website is listed, so simply walk in — advance booking does not appear to be necessary.

Visitor Reviews
Amazing staff, huge drinks collection, nice weed, great atmosphere and great people. Defo worth a visit. Stop in and say hello. The staff I recognised from 7 years ago! Say hello from me!
Came here most nights during my stay at Nang. Perfect bar with a great pool table, fun staff, and perfect atmosphere. Perfect for a bar with not to much party nightlife.
A great bar to relax and playing pool. Staffs are very friendly and hospitality. Really enjoyed my time there. Highly recommended.

Carry Your Passport or a Copy
Clubs and some bars check IDs strictly, especially in Bangkok's Thonglor, RCA, and Sukhumvit areas. A photo of your passport info page on your phone usually works, but carrying a laminated photocopy is safer.
Know the Closing Times
Legal closing time is 2 AM for most venues, though enforcement varies. In Bangkok's designated entertainment zones (RCA, Silom Soi 2/4, Khao San), some clubs stay open until 4 AM. Islands tend to be more relaxed about hours.
Buy Bucket Drinks Cautiously
Island bucket drinks (mixed spirits in a small bucket) are cheap and fun but notoriously strong and inconsistent. Stick to one, stay hydrated, and never leave your drink unattended at beach parties.
