Doran’s Irish Pub
Tucked along Ruamjit Road in Pak Nam, Doran's Irish Pub brings a genuine slice of Irish hospitality to the heart of Krabi. The open-air bar draws a loyal crowd of travellers and locals alike, with many visitors returning night after night throughout their stay. It has earned a reputation as one of those rare spots that feels immediately comfortable, thanks largely to a friendly owner who makes a point of chatting with guests about their travels and lives. The atmosphere here is relaxed and social, with live music a regular feature — expect singalongs, classic tunes, and the kind of easy craic that makes the hours disappear. Drinks are well-priced and served cold, with a solid selection ranging from draught beers to cocktails. The coffee martini comes particularly recommended by regulars. The bar also has an open-air area for those who want to smoke, sit back, and soak in the evening air. For those travelling through Krabi and looking for somewhere to wind down after a day of island-hopping or sightseeing, this is a dependable choice. No website or confirmed opening hours are currently listed, so it is worth asking at your accommodation or swinging by in the early evening to check. Given its intimate size and popular reputation, arriving on the earlier side is a sensible idea on busier nights.

Such a lovely bar in Krabi. Amazing atmosphere and service. We went in and there was an excellent singer singing such good tunes. We came back every night of our holidays! Definitely pop in if you are around!
An excellent bar, great prices, ice cold beer in an ice cold glass, great friendly atmosphere. Been here virtually every evening I have been in Krabi and highly recommend the place.
Tips for Visiting Nightlife & Bars
Carry Your Passport or a Copy
Clubs and some bars check IDs strictly, especially in Bangkok's Thonglor, RCA, and Sukhumvit areas. A photo of your passport info page on your phone usually works, but carrying a laminated photocopy is safer.
Know the Closing Times
Legal closing time is 2 AM for most venues, though enforcement varies. In Bangkok's designated entertainment zones (RCA, Silom Soi 2/4, Khao San), some clubs stay open until 4 AM. Islands tend to be more relaxed about hours.
Buy Bucket Drinks Cautiously
Island bucket drinks (mixed spirits in a small bucket) are cheap and fun but notoriously strong and inconsistent. Stick to one, stay hydrated, and never leave your drink unattended at beach parties.
