Sa-bai Thai Massage
Located on Chao Fa Road in Tambon Pak Nam, this massage and beauty salon offers a range of services including traditional Thai massage, oil massage, and nail care. The therapists have earned consistent praise for their skill and attentiveness, with several visitors noting that specific requests — such as adjusting pressure around injuries — are listened to and accommodated. The friendly, family-run atmosphere sets it apart from larger commercial spa operations in the area. Visitors can expect a therapeutic rather than purely luxurious experience. Oil massages are a highlight, with guests describing the quality as comparable to professional manual therapy. The salon also offers nail services, though experiences with manicures and pedicures have been more mixed, with some guests finding the standard inconsistent. It is worth noting that pressure levels can vary between therapists, so communicating preferences clearly at the start of a session is advisable, particularly for those new to traditional Thai massage or managing any physical sensitivities. Good to know: Opening hours and booking information are not listed online, so it is best to stop by in person or ask your accommodation to assist with confirming availability. During Krabi's busier tourist periods, visiting earlier in the day or arranging a reservation in advance will help avoid a wait. The central location on Chao Fa Road makes it straightforward to reach from most parts of the main Krabi town area.

Visitor Reviews
Just been to sa-bai massage. Asked for a more Gentle treatment because of an injury. They listened to me and the massage was perfect. Also the owner, daughter and staff are really nice people. Thank you 🙏 from the Netherlands
This place gives a service that is on par with the highest quality of physiotherapy and manual therapy. The therapists are super lovely and they do such a good job. Absolutely deserved five stars as a review.
My husband and I had a lovely oil massage here. The ladies were very skilled and the room comfortable. The only reason I dropped one star is because I’m not sure about the cleanliness. The linens were not changed after we left and were just rolled with a lint roller. This might be common practice, but it’s the first time I saw it And I was a little concerned. But other than that, it’s a beautiful little spa with very kind people.
Tips for Visiting Wellness & Spas
Learn Wat Pho First
Wat Pho in Bangkok is the birthplace of traditional Thai massage education. Their on-site massage pavilion offers excellent treatments from students and graduates at reasonable prices — and you know the technique is authentic.
Communicate Pressure Preferences
Thai massage can be intense. Say 'bao bao' for lighter pressure or 'nак nак' for harder. A good therapist will check in, but don't hesitate to speak up — suffering in silence defeats the purpose.
Book Longer Sessions
A 60-minute massage is fine, but 90 or 120 minutes allows the therapist to work thoroughly. The price difference is often only 200–400 THB for an extra hour — worth it for a deeper, more relaxing experience.
