Pai Pub
Tucked along a rural road in Mae Hong Son Province, this open-street bar draws travellers and expats looking for a relaxed evening in Pai's unhurried setting. With easy outdoor seating, a snooker table, cold draught Chang on tap, and a TV set up for sports, it caters to those wanting a no-fuss place to wind down after a day exploring the surrounding valleys and hills. The pub has a distinctly Western-leaning atmosphere, making it a familiar refuge for international visitors while still fitting Pai's broader bohemian character.
The bar also serves food and has been known to put on sports broadcasts, including international events like the AFL Grand Final, with staff occasionally going out of their way to accommodate specific viewing requests. Pricing is noted as competitive for a foreigner-friendly pub in the area.

Reviews from Google
Watched the AFL grand final here. Owner was amazing at making sure it was working for us. Beers were cold and crisp
A good open-street bar with easy seating, snooker table and fresh draught Chang. Prices competitive for a “farang” style pub. TV to watch sports.
Had to finish beer and wine on a carton cup because they decided to close at 10 pm. The service was very bad, and bar tender not nice at all. I don’t understand how this place got 4,2 stars

Tips for Visiting Nightlife & Bars
Carry Your Passport or a Copy
Clubs and some bars check IDs strictly, especially in Bangkok's Thonglor, RCA, and Sukhumvit areas. A photo of your passport info page on your phone usually works, but carrying a laminated photocopy is safer.
Know the Closing Times
Legal closing time is 2 AM for most venues, though enforcement varies. In Bangkok's designated entertainment zones (RCA, Silom Soi 2/4, Khao San), some clubs stay open until 4 AM. Islands tend to be more relaxed about hours.
Buy Bucket Drinks Cautiously
Island bucket drinks (mixed spirits in a small bucket) are cheap and fun but notoriously strong and inconsistent. Stick to one, stay hydrated, and never leave your drink unattended at beach parties.
