A Friendly Bar and Cafe
Tucked inside the Poodam Night Market in Krabi town's Pak Nam area, this bar and cafe has built a loyal following among both visitors and locals. The venue is anchored by its warm, hands-on owner Jen, whose hospitality sets the tone for the entire experience. It operates as a genuine neighbourhood spot where the atmosphere is relaxed and unpretentious, making it an easy place to settle in for the evening. Drinks are taken seriously here, with cold beer, wine, and fresh vodka lime and sodas among the offerings — all made with real ingredients rather than syrups or shortcuts. The food menu leans into authentic Thai cooking, with standout items like handmade chicken nuggets drawing repeat visits. Dishes are noted for being both well-presented and affordably priced, and the English-speaking owner makes ordering straightforward for international travellers. Good to know: The bar sits within the Poodam Night Market, so it pairs naturally with a broader evening of browsing market stalls and sampling street food. It also makes a convenient shelter during Krabi's frequent rain showers. As opening hours are not listed publicly, it is worth checking locally before making the trip, though market-based venues in Krabi typically operate in the evenings from around 5pm onwards.

Jen, the owner is so friendly! The beer is cold, the food is delicious and cheap. A great place to shelter when it’s raining, grab food from the market or enjoy their delicious food.
Tips for Visiting Nightlife & Bars
Carry Your Passport or a Copy
Clubs and some bars check IDs strictly, especially in Bangkok's Thonglor, RCA, and Sukhumvit areas. A photo of your passport info page on your phone usually works, but carrying a laminated photocopy is safer.
Know the Closing Times
Legal closing time is 2 AM for most venues, though enforcement varies. In Bangkok's designated entertainment zones (RCA, Silom Soi 2/4, Khao San), some clubs stay open until 4 AM. Islands tend to be more relaxed about hours.
Buy Bucket Drinks Cautiously
Island bucket drinks (mixed spirits in a small bucket) are cheap and fun but notoriously strong and inconsistent. Stick to one, stay hydrated, and never leave your drink unattended at beach parties.
