Speed Lounge & Bar

For us, this is the best bar&lounge in Lamai on Koh Samui. We've been here three nights and the atmosphere is always relaxed and festive. The Speed band is absolutely the best: amazing vocals and fantastic musicians (the guitar player is just unbeatable). The hostess is the epitome of hospitality and greets all her guests personally and makes us feel as if we're regulars. Will definitely come back to party when we're in Lamai again.

Best live band on the island in lamai, the staff are great 👍 I know them well and they really look after us ,when we are there , the band that have been playing there for a few years now are just great .you can't stop smiling just watching them . Miss you guys loads..

* Please read to the bottom* I was there at the bar tonight and the staff and especially the band were wonderful as usual. I've been there twice and would probably go again. My father was particularly enjoying himself to a song so the singer came down to dance with him tonight. It was so kind of her so I'd definitely recommend this bar to others! BUT Sadly not all of the other customers were as lovely as the bar and its drinks. A middle-aged couple infront of us weren't impressed with the dance and called him disruptive and other mean things in Thai and were generally rude while talking behind his back. I understand not celebrating it and not clapping along like the rest of the bar but badmouthing him wasn't necessary especially as dancing in a bar isn't out of the norm and it was only 2 minutes. I may not look as if I understand Thai but I do. What makes me sad is that this behaviour was strongly enabled by 1 specific staff member but I understand that ultimately the bar isn't responsible for the actions of their distasteful customers or one stray staff member's comments (the waitresses were friendly!) so this doesn't reflect on the bar. Besides that, we had a great evening! We recommend the mango-mint cocktail :)
