Kanok Thai massage
Situated in the laid-back Lamai district of Koh Samui, this massage spa draws visitors seeking authentic traditional Thai massage delivered by experienced, attentive therapists. Reviewers consistently highlight the quality of the bodywork, with particular praise for skilled muscle and stretch techniques, including effective treatment of specific problem areas such as strains and tension. The foot massage is singled out by guests as a standout offering, described by one experienced massage-goer as among the most traditional and professional they have encountered in Thailand. The atmosphere reflects the calmer character of Lamai itself, offering a more locally grounded experience than the resort spas found in busier parts of the island. The space is air-conditioned, and staff are frequently described as friendly and welcoming. Treatment options include oil massage with Vitamin E, and therapists are generally receptive to pressure preferences, so guests are encouraged to communicate their needs at the start of a session. Good to know: Opening hours are not confirmed online, so it is worth stopping by in person or enquiring locally before making the trip, especially during the peak season months of November through February when demand across Koh Samui tends to be higher. Those after firmer pressure should mention this at the outset, as the default style leans toward a gentler touch. Comfortable, loose clothing is practical for traditional Thai massage, as it typically does not require full undressing.

Visitor Reviews
I had the Vitamin E oil massage and it was very relaxing. Personally, I would preferred a bit more strength, but that can easily be communicated depending on your preference. If you are looking for a strong massage for back problems or something more intense, I would recommend the Deep/Deluxe Traditional Thai Massage instead. This is also perfect if you like bone cracking and stronger pressure to fix your body. The prices are very cheap and they offer great service. The session lasts a full hour. All the ladies are extremely kind and friendly, which makes the atmosphere welcoming What I really appreciated is that the massages are not rushed or done in a hurry. They take their time, focus on quality and you can feel that they know exactly what they are doing. Afterwards, the whole body feels deeply relaxed and refreshed
Good massage! The therapist did good stretching and deep muscle work. I had a sore arm from an earlier muscle strain, and she worked with it very well to help gently stretch and knead it. The AC was out, and they had the doors open, so there was road noise, but that wasn’t their fault. They said the AC would be fixed by the next day. It was still a good massage, and once the oil was on, the breeze was cooling. She was very friendly and seemed quite skilled. Overall a nice place and a good price!
Very best experience of massage in Thailand. Me myself who learn massage in my own country, found this shop the best with the most traditional and professional massage - the foot massage on the bed instead of the chair is awesome - which the traditional way should be. Highly recommended. Staff very friendly and the massage can go powerful not the soft touchy useless one.
Tips for Visiting Wellness & Spas
Learn Wat Pho First
Wat Pho in Bangkok is the birthplace of traditional Thai massage education. Their on-site massage pavilion offers excellent treatments from students and graduates at reasonable prices — and you know the technique is authentic.
Communicate Pressure Preferences
Thai massage can be intense. Say 'bao bao' for lighter pressure or 'nак nак' for harder. A good therapist will check in, but don't hesitate to speak up — suffering in silence defeats the purpose.
Book Longer Sessions
A 60-minute massage is fine, but 90 or 120 minutes allows the therapist to work thoroughly. The price difference is often only 200–400 THB for an extra hour — worth it for a deeper, more relaxing experience.
