The Third Day Beach Club
Sitting directly on Lamai Beach in Koh Samui's Maret Subdistrict, The Third Day Beach Club pulls double duty as a relaxed daytime cafe and an evening bar, making it a natural spot to anchor an entire beach day. The open-air setup features sun beds, bean bags, and both indoor and outdoor seating, with an upstairs area that delivers unobstructed sea views — particularly rewarding at sunset. An open kitchen turns out solid Thai staples like pad Thai alongside smoothies, cocktails, and cold beers, all at prices visitors consistently describe as reasonable. The atmosphere leans firmly toward the laid-back end of the spectrum. Free sun beds are available with any purchase, and the staff draw regular praise for attentive, friendly service without being overbearing. The beach breeze, casual seating, and easy access to food and drinks make it the kind of place where an hour easily stretches into a full afternoon. The club opens at 09:00 on weekdays and 10:00 on weekends, closing at 22:00 every night. Weekday afternoons tend to be quieter and more relaxed, while weekends and the hours around sunset attract a livelier crowd. Beach casual attire is perfectly appropriate at any time of day. For the best experience, arriving in the mid-to-late afternoon allows time to settle in on a sun bed, eat, and stay through the sunset without rushing.

Visitor Reviews
On Lamai Beach a modern clean bar with an open kitchen. Indoor and outdoor seating with sun beds and bean bags. The views are spectacular of the beach from the upstairs area. Can't fault this place, the food, the cocktails, beers and shots are amazing. Barbecue and Fireshow night are fabulous with a DJ. Came here many times for food and drinks, the staff are really friendly but not intrusive. You don't have to leave your sun bed the service is spot on. Perfect location, food drinks and hospitality. Will definitely go back.
Great place with beautiful sea view. We had pad Thai it tasted really good Mango smoothie and beer was cooling us down during the hot weather. Highly recommend. Bean chairs quite comfy.
The Third Day Beach Club is a great place to relax and spend the whole day. Food and drinks are reasonably priced and taste good, and the staff provide excellent service. They also offer free towels just ask the staff, which is very convenient. The only downside for us was the smell of weed around the area. For those who don’t like it, this can be unpleasant. It would be better if the club could create separate zones for guests who want to use weed and those who don’t. Other than that, it’s a very nice spot to enjoy the beach.

Carry Your Passport or a Copy
Clubs and some bars check IDs strictly, especially in Bangkok's Thonglor, RCA, and Sukhumvit areas. A photo of your passport info page on your phone usually works, but carrying a laminated photocopy is safer.
Know the Closing Times
Legal closing time is 2 AM for most venues, though enforcement varies. In Bangkok's designated entertainment zones (RCA, Silom Soi 2/4, Khao San), some clubs stay open until 4 AM. Islands tend to be more relaxed about hours.
Buy Bucket Drinks Cautiously
Island bucket drinks (mixed spirits in a small bucket) are cheap and fun but notoriously strong and inconsistent. Stick to one, stay hydrated, and never leave your drink unattended at beach parties.
