Rest Massage
Tucked away in the Tambon Maret district of Koh Samui, this dedicated massage spa has built a strong following among visitors to the island, with repeat guests returning multiple times within a single trip. The therapists — several of whom are mentioned by name in visitor reviews, including Nita and Pim — are noted for their ability to tailor sessions to individual needs, identifying problem areas and applying targeted techniques rather than offering a one-size-fits-all experience. The atmosphere is consistently described as clean, relaxed, and unhurried, with calming background music contributing to the overall sense of calm. Treatments on offer include traditional Thai massage styles with an emphasis on deep tissue work, stretching, and targeted relief for neck, back, and shoulder tension. Guests recovering from long-haul travel, water sports, or simply seeking genuine therapeutic benefit are likely to find the experience worthwhile rather than purely indulgent. Good to know: No website or listed opening hours are currently available online, so it is worth contacting the spa directly or asking your accommodation to assist with enquiries before making the trip. Advance booking is advisable during peak season between December and February, when demand across Koh Samui's wellness venues tends to be high. Allow at least 60 to 90 minutes for a standard session, and wear or bring comfortable, loose clothing.

Visitor Reviews
It’s true what other reviews say. The place is amazing. We had massage with Nita and Pim. Both truly know and love their craft. Pim gave us the most tailored massage, knowing what the problem areas are from the first glance. Nita went above and beyond, giving tips on what exercises to do after massage. She has an uplifting presence which makes the experience truly wonderful. If it’s full, just book for later in the day. Once you come to REST you will not want to go elsewhere.
Wow... If I could give more than five stars, I would 100%. Nita was the best massage therapist I have ever encountered. I have had back pain forever, and she went deep to work on knots in my back and shoulders. She even went well past the allocated time to ensure that she could do the best job possible. That was so very much appreciated. I'll be a regular customer from now on. Nita is the absolute BEST. Book a massage with her soon and find out for yourself. :-)
Our masseuse Nita was outstanding, the place was clean, super-chill - I even loved the relaxed background music. Three massages here in the 10 days at Lamai, and all were five stars! I will definitely be going there again on my next stay.

Tips for Visiting Wellness & Spas
Learn Wat Pho First
Wat Pho in Bangkok is the birthplace of traditional Thai massage education. Their on-site massage pavilion offers excellent treatments from students and graduates at reasonable prices — and you know the technique is authentic.
Communicate Pressure Preferences
Thai massage can be intense. Say 'bao bao' for lighter pressure or 'nак nак' for harder. A good therapist will check in, but don't hesitate to speak up — suffering in silence defeats the purpose.
Book Longer Sessions
A 60-minute massage is fine, but 90 or 120 minutes allows the therapist to work thoroughly. The price difference is often only 200–400 THB for an extra hour — worth it for a deeper, more relaxing experience.
