Nimo Bar Cocktail (U-BmyGuest)
Tucked into the heart of the Choeng Mon neighbourhood on Koh Samui, Nimo Bar is a small but spirited cocktail bar that has built a loyal following among both travellers and locals. The draw is as much about the atmosphere as the drinks — owner Nimo is consistently praised by visitors for her warmth and energy, making the bar feel more like a gathering place than a typical tourist spot. Guests can expect affordable cocktails, a pool table, darts, and a varied music programme that leans heavily on what the crowd actually wants to hear — staff have been known to hand over the aux and let patrons play their own selections. Live music also features regularly, and the bar stays open late, making it a solid option for those looking to extend the night beyond dinner. A resident dog named Mona adds to the relaxed, unpretentious character of the place. For practical planning, Nimo Bar is located in Choeng Mon rather than the busier Chaweng or Lamai strips, so it suits travellers staying in the northern part of the island or those willing to make the short trip for a more intimate night out. No website or advance booking information is currently available, so it is best visited by simply showing up — which, based on visitor experience, tends to work out well.

Visitor Reviews
This super cool little bar in the heart of Choeng Mon is a wonderful place to chill, listen to great music, play pool or darts and be entertained by the charming owner, Nimo (see photo), and her friendly staff. Nimo is a master mixologist and can make you any cocktail you could possibly want. Ice cold beer is cheap too. Toilets are very clean. This bar is also very family & pet friendly with visiting families + young kids often showing up for Nimo's welcoming style. This is definitely one of my favourite bars in Koh Samui...the vibe just clicks!
My husband and I stumbled upon this bar on our last night in Koh Samui. The only thing I regret is not finding Nimo’s sooner! The owner Nimo and her dog Mona are simply the best. Drinks are affordable, conversation is amazing, facilities are clean and well run. Pool and darts are free and if you feel like belting out a song, you can be the DJ for the whole bar and get everyone singing along! I’m so sad this bar is so far away from where I live in California, because we would make this our nightly stopping point. We love Nimo’s!
Very nice bar. Good Drinks, Darts, Pool, cute dogs and nice staff, enjoyed the stay. Oh and the music is realy good. Got also offered to Play our own music.

Tips for Visiting Nightlife & Bars
Carry Your Passport or a Copy
Clubs and some bars check IDs strictly, especially in Bangkok's Thonglor, RCA, and Sukhumvit areas. A photo of your passport info page on your phone usually works, but carrying a laminated photocopy is safer.
Know the Closing Times
Legal closing time is 2 AM for most venues, though enforcement varies. In Bangkok's designated entertainment zones (RCA, Silom Soi 2/4, Khao San), some clubs stay open until 4 AM. Islands tend to be more relaxed about hours.
Buy Bucket Drinks Cautiously
Island bucket drinks (mixed spirits in a small bucket) are cheap and fun but notoriously strong and inconsistent. Stick to one, stay hydrated, and never leave your drink unattended at beach parties.
