Rumpair รัมแพ - Thai cocktails & Foods
Sitting alongside the canal on Mun Mueang Road, this cocktail bar and casual dining spot has built a strong following among both travellers and locals for its creative use of Thai spirits, liqueurs, and ingredients in its drink menu. The setting along the water makes it a natural spot to wind down after a day of exploring the old city, with music kept at a level that allows conversation. The cocktail program is the main draw, leaning on local Thai liquors rather than standard international spirits — reviewers consistently single out the drinks as genuine craft cocktails rather than tourist-grade fare. The food menu is broader than the name might suggest, covering Thai dishes like pad see ew alongside Western-friendly options including pizza and garlic bread. The cheese balls have been called out specifically as worth ordering. Cocktails are priced on the higher end relative to typical Thailand expectations, though reviewers generally consider them worth it. Good to know: No opening hours are listed online, so it's worth checking ahead before making it the centerpiece of an evening. The location on Mun Mueang Road places it within easy walking distance of the old city moat area, making it a convenient stop when exploring that part of Chiang Mai on foot.

Visitor Reviews
We came as soon as they were open as I was excited for their pizza. Their service was excellent and here’s what we ordered: Cheese balls: sweet but delicious - perfectly fried. Garlic bread: house made tasty bread! It’s our first garlic bread in Thailand and it did not disappoint. Pad kra pow: my wife truly enjoyed this dish as it was one of the best pad krao’s we had. Cacao bowl: our first bowl in Thailand and boy was it amazing! Can’t go wrong with fresh milk and fruits. Pesto pizza: best pesto we’ve ever had because the Thai basil leaves are just super rich and fresh. My wife doesn’t usually like the crust but she killed it this time. Overall, great brunch location and perfectly located on the main street for tourists.
We sat there today after searching where we can eat thai foods for good prices and not be disappointed. the pad see ew was amazing! It was so flavorful, the sauce and noodles were very very good. The atmosphere of the place is very chill, nice acoustic songs and you have a nice view on the street. The service was also very nice and food came quick We will be back Thank you :)
Came here for a drink and some people watching after a busy day. They have a big menu and although cocktails are on the pricier side for Thailand they were all excellent and proper cocktails! They have Thai twists on cocktails and a range of local alcohol products. They sell food too. A lovely atmosphere and the staff couldn't be more polite and helpful.

Tips for Visiting Nightlife & Bars
Carry Your Passport or a Copy
Clubs and some bars check IDs strictly, especially in Bangkok's Thonglor, RCA, and Sukhumvit areas. A photo of your passport info page on your phone usually works, but carrying a laminated photocopy is safer.
Know the Closing Times
Legal closing time is 2 AM for most venues, though enforcement varies. In Bangkok's designated entertainment zones (RCA, Silom Soi 2/4, Khao San), some clubs stay open until 4 AM. Islands tend to be more relaxed about hours.
Buy Bucket Drinks Cautiously
Island bucket drinks (mixed spirits in a small bucket) are cheap and fun but notoriously strong and inconsistent. Stick to one, stay hydrated, and never leave your drink unattended at beach parties.
