Why go, and how to do it well

Some restaurants on Chaweng Beach Road are there because the road is there. This one earns its spot. The Thai food comes out fresh, generously portioned and properly seasoned rather than softened for foreign palates, and enough people report eating here two or three times in a single week's holiday that the pattern says more than any single review does. If you order one thing, make it the tom yum. The cocktails get consistent praise too, strong and cheap enough that people mention the value unprompted.

Service is the other half of the appeal. Staff get named in reviews, which almost never happens, and they've been known to sort out a birthday cake for a table without being asked twice. The room is relaxed rather than styled, which suits a place you'd walk into straight off the beach. Good value across the board, from what diners say about the bill.

If you’re anywhere near Chaweng Beach, do yourself a favor and eat here. The food is genuinely outstanding, everything tastes fresh and flavorful. You can tell it’s made with care, not just thrown together for tourists. Every dish we tried was packed with authentic Thai flavors and generous portions. But what really makes this place special is the staff. They’re incredibly warm, attentive, and welcoming. This is hands down my favorite spot on Chaweng Beach, and I’ll keep coming back every time I’m here. Highly, highly recommend.

On our first day after arriving, we came to this restaurant for dinner and were amazed by the food. After that, we ended up coming back every single day - either for lunch or dinner, because the entire menu is fantastic!!! Everything we tried was delicious, and the prices are very cheap. The value for money is perfect. Anyone visiting the island should definitely come and try the tom yum. Such a great place!

Psyo was very friendly and accommodating, a great waiter. The food was amazing- I spent 4 days in koh samui and ate at so many restaurants but this one stood out above the rest. So many options- cocktails were also amazing. Strong and nice tasting and great value for money, definitely will be back here when back in samui! Thankyou so much

Tips for Visiting Restaurants & Food

Follow the Crowds

The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.

Ice Is Safe

Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.

Use Grab for Delivery

The Grab app works for food delivery across Thailand, letting you order from street stalls and restaurants alike. It's invaluable on rainy days or when you want to eat in your hotel.
