Molly Bar
Tucked along Soi Ram Buttri in Bangkok's Phra Nakhon district, Molly Bar is a casual pub and bar sitting in one of the city's most characterful backpacker streets, within easy walking distance of major landmarks including Khao San Road and the old town. The relaxed, lounge-style atmosphere makes it a natural stop for solo travellers and groups alike, whether for a midday drink, a casual meal, or a late evening out. The venue serves both food and drinks throughout the day, with visitors particularly noting it as a breakfast and brunch spot as well as an evening bar. Drinks are mid-range priced for Bangkok, with cocktails around the 230 baht mark — noticeably cheaper than equivalent venues back home in Europe or the West, though on the higher end for the immediate neighbourhood. Food reviews are mixed, with some visitors enjoying the breakfast offerings while others find dishes like Pad Thai and grilled items inconsistent in quality. The drinks and the street-side atmosphere appear to be the stronger draw. A practical note: Molly Bar opens at noon every day and runs until 2am, giving plenty of flexibility. Those after a quieter, more relaxed experience are better served visiting in the earlier part of the day or early evening, before the street fills up. Check the Facebook page before visiting for any updates on events or daily specials.

Visitor Reviews
Great place to go for breakfast. What fantastic food, service was great and fast. We have had breakfast at several places in this street, but this was the best!
Great lounge place in the cosiest street in Bangkok. Molly bar has great drinks 🍹and authentic street food🥘. Prices are fôr tourist only 💸 230 baht drink is pretty stiff, but only 1/3 of European prices. The service was great.
Food is very bland. We ordered the grilled ham and cheese, very dry. The pad Thai arrived asa big clump of noodles. Once I had a ton of nam pla and other condiments, it was ok.

Carry Your Passport or a Copy
Clubs and some bars check IDs strictly, especially in Bangkok's Thonglor, RCA, and Sukhumvit areas. A photo of your passport info page on your phone usually works, but carrying a laminated photocopy is safer.
Know the Closing Times
Legal closing time is 2 AM for most venues, though enforcement varies. In Bangkok's designated entertainment zones (RCA, Silom Soi 2/4, Khao San), some clubs stay open until 4 AM. Islands tend to be more relaxed about hours.
Buy Bucket Drinks Cautiously
Island bucket drinks (mixed spirits in a small bucket) are cheap and fun but notoriously strong and inconsistent. Stick to one, stay hydrated, and never leave your drink unattended at beach parties.
