King Power Mahanakhon
Rising 78 floors above the Silom district, King Power Mahanakhon is home to Bangkok's highest accessible observation deck, sitting at 1,030 feet and offering sweeping, unobstructed views across the city's sprawling skyline. The building's distinctive pixelated facade makes it one of Bangkok's most recognisable landmarks, and the experience inside lives up to the exterior — drawing visitors who want a genuinely memorable vantage point over the Thai capital. The journey to the top sets the tone, with an immersive lift experience before arriving at the open-air skywalk and the famous glass floor section, which offers a direct, stomach-dropping view straight down to the streets below. The observation area operates until midnight every day, making it a strong option for those who want to see Bangkok's city lights after dark. Visitors note that the views are particularly spectacular at night and on clear evenings, and the deck is considered by many to be a step above other Bangkok observation points in terms of the experience on offer. Tickets can be booked in advance online, which is recommended — particularly for weekend evening visits when the deck is busiest. Free lockers are available on-site for larger bags, though standard handbags and small purses are permitted on the deck. The attraction is open daily from 10:00 until midnight, and the website at kingpowermahanakhon.co.th has current ticketing and pricing information.

Visitor Reviews
Great place for sightseeing. They have lockers at which you are asked to leave any bigger bags. Regular size purses and ladies bags are allowed to go up. Lockers are free. The experience starts as you go up the lift where you'll experience a music video type of ride, with music and visuals. You can experience various vantage points and observatory areas, including the see thru glass deck on the 78th floor. You can walk around the area, experience the glass deck, and have a cocktail at the skybar. The area is supervised and there's security. It's a bit high end price at 1600ThB. You can also experience other observation points at different floors. There's a cafe on the 74th floor and a restaurant on the 76th floor. Coffee is specialty coffee. As you go down they with get you off at the souvenir shop for an opportunity to get a memorabilia from the experience. From there you make your way down to the exit via escalators at the ground floor.
This was my second time at the Mahakhon Tower and I loved it! I can truly never get bored of this beautiful view over Bangkok. We went there on a Saturday night and had our tickets booked in advance just in case there is a lot going on. The staff is extremely friendly and hospitable. Would go there again for sure! The prices for the drinks are understandable for the view. The skywalk is also extremely fun! Can't take your phones on there tho! But my friend took pictures of me from the side. A truly great experience I can recommend this to anyone who is not afraid of heights (still you should try it out its really worth it). Everything felt very safe up there and there is no need to be scared!
It might be a bold statement, but this is by far one of the best, if not the best, observation deck in Thailand. If you plan to visit just one observation deck in Bangkok, just skip all the Balyoke Sky, Asiatique Sky, Observation Point whatsoever and just visit this particular observation deck. You will have the best experience here as it offers the stunning view of the downtown Bangkok. Don't forget to bring some food and beverages with you and spend some time up there as there is no time limit. There are plenty of space at the indoor observation deck to enjoy your food and the view. Once completed, take the elevator and head up the outdoor observation deck to experience the real deal at the glass tray! It might be scary but hey, it is once in a lifetime! I took one star off because of the interesting pricing for the participants. It costs 1000THB (You can stay from 1000 to 1530) and 1200THB (You can stay for a hour in one of these 3 timeslots: 1600-1700 / 1700-1800 / 1800-1900). If you have more time to spare and want to have a better experience, save 200THB and get the day ticket so you can stay there for up to 5 and a half hour. The observation deck is conveniently located next to BTS Chong Nonsi Station. Since it is slightly away from the major attraction. It is recommended to get a BTS 1-Day Pass via Agoda so you can take advantage of the unlimited rides and visit all the other days after a long day at the observation deck.

Tips for Visiting Activities & Tours
Vet Elephant Sanctuaries
Only visit sanctuaries that prohibit riding, use no chains or bullhooks, and let elephants roam freely. Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai set the standard. If a place offers painting shows or circus tricks, walk away.
Book Through Klook or GetYourGuide
These platforms offer instant confirmation, free cancellation on most activities, and prices that are often lower than walk-up rates. Compare with local agencies for multi-day trips where negotiation might save more.
Do Outdoor Activities in the Morning
Heat and humidity peak from noon to 3 PM. Schedule jungle treks, cycling tours, and outdoor cooking classes for early morning. Water activities are more flexible since you're in and out of the sea.
