Urban Thai

4.8(3,635 reviews)

Tucked along Surawong Road in Bangkok's Bang Rak district, this well-regarded massage and wellness venue draws both residents and visitors seeking genuine therapeutic relief in the heart of the city. Conveniently positioned near Bangkok's central business district and major shopping corridors, it offers an accessible escape without requiring a detour from a busy itinerary. The space is consistently described by visitors as clean, cozy, and atmospherically calm, with soft music contributing to a genuinely relaxing environment. Treatments span traditional Thai massage, foot massage with tiger balm, and back and shoulder work, delivered by therapists praised for their skill, attentiveness, and ability to target specific areas of tension. The four-hands foot massage is a standout option for those wanting something a little more indulgent. Staff are noted as polite and welcoming, and pricing is considered reasonable given the quality and setting. One recurring note from visitors is that overhead lighting can be brighter than expected in some treatment areas, which is worth bearing in mind for those who prefer a dimmer, more immersive atmosphere. Good to know: Opening hours are not listed online, so contacting the venue directly before visiting is advisable. The central location means demand is steady, particularly during lunch hours and early evenings, and booking ahead is recommended if a specific time slot is needed. Arriving 10 to 15 minutes before a scheduled treatment allows time to settle in comfortably.

I came here and had the four-hands 1-hour foot massage with tiger balm. The women were as strong and talented as they are beautiful. When it was finished, I felt like I had new feet. The atmosphere is very pleasant - upscale plush leather recliner to sit in, the lighting is easy on the eyes but not too dim. There is nice calming music playing at a very nice level - not too loud or too soft. No cell phones ringing, no masseuse on the phone. I strongly recommend you visit and get yourself a 4-hands foot massage.

Absolutely amazing Thai massage! The atmosphere is calm and relaxing, with soft music and a clean, cozy space. The therapist was professional, skilled, and attentive—she targeted all my tight areas perfectly. Pressure was just right, not too hard or light. I left feeling completely refreshed, stress-free, and my body was so relaxed. Highly recommend this place; it’s one of the best massages I’ve ever had. Will definitely come back!

Had such a lovely experience here, the spa has a calm atmosphere and very welcoming staff. I had an hour long back and shoulders massage from Nin, and it released weeks worth of built up tension in my back, in hindsight I wish I had gone for a longer option. Will definitely be returning and highly recommend!

Tips for Visiting Wellness & Spas

Learn Wat Pho First

Wat Pho in Bangkok is the birthplace of traditional Thai massage education. Their on-site massage pavilion offers excellent treatments from students and graduates at reasonable prices — and you know the technique is authentic.

Communicate Pressure Preferences

Thai massage can be intense. Say 'bao bao' for lighter pressure or 'nак nак' for harder. A good therapist will check in, but don't hesitate to speak up — suffering in silence defeats the purpose.

Book Longer Sessions

A 60-minute massage is fine, but 90 or 120 minutes allows the therapist to work thoroughly. The price difference is often only 200–400 THB for an extra hour — worth it for a deeper, more relaxing experience.
