Brick Bar
Tucked just off Khao San Road in Bangkok's historic Phra Nakhon district, Brick Bar is a live music venue and bar that draws a genuine mix of Thai locals and international travellers for energetic nights out. Its Old City location makes it a natural addition to any evening in the neighbourhood, sitting within easy reach of temples, street food stalls, and the broader Khao San Road scene. Inside, an air-conditioned space fills up around live bands playing Thai music alongside popular Western tracks. The crowd is social and the atmosphere is high energy, making it well suited to groups chasing a fun night rather than a quiet drink. It also features regularly on pub crawl circuits, which adds to the party-friendly feel. Mid-range pricing keeps it accessible without sacrificing atmosphere. Good to know: live performances typically begin around 8:30pm, so arriving earlier means sitting through a quieter period before the main entertainment kicks off. At least one visitor found this frustrating after not being informed on arrival, so it is worth asking staff about the evening's schedule when you get there. As opening hours are not publicly listed, confirming these in advance is also advisable. The bar is easily reached by tuk-tuk or taxi from most parts of central Bangkok.

Visitor Reviews
Lively club bar tucked away off the main street on khao San road. Air conditioning was on and the vibes were great with lots of Thai and some tourists mixed in. Played fun western club music followed by a Thai rock band on the weekend we were there. Must buy a drink as "cover fee".
A nice place to spend time with your friends if you like live bands. The vibe is immaculate and there's a lot of Thai music and some trendy pop songs during the breaks. I recommend it for people who want to party like a local; it might not be foreigner-friendly, tho.
Necessary pit stop whenever I am in BKK! Incredible vibes, music and people. Rarely remember the end of the night, but the beginning is always great!

Tips for Visiting Nightlife & Bars
Carry Your Passport or a Copy
Clubs and some bars check IDs strictly, especially in Bangkok's Thonglor, RCA, and Sukhumvit areas. A photo of your passport info page on your phone usually works, but carrying a laminated photocopy is safer.
Know the Closing Times
Legal closing time is 2 AM for most venues, though enforcement varies. In Bangkok's designated entertainment zones (RCA, Silom Soi 2/4, Khao San), some clubs stay open until 4 AM. Islands tend to be more relaxed about hours.
Buy Bucket Drinks Cautiously
Island bucket drinks (mixed spirits in a small bucket) are cheap and fun but notoriously strong and inconsistent. Stick to one, stay hydrated, and never leave your drink unattended at beach parties.
