Sukhumvit Soi 11 at midnight is a lot, and this is the escape hatch six floors up. Sitting inside the Aloft, it pulls a mix of expats, hotel guests and Bangkok locals who want cocktails and a decent crowd without being shoulder to shoulder with the street below. The look matches the hotel, with clean lines, modern, more lounge than warehouse rave, though it does get loud and busy once the room fills.
Cocktails are the reason to come, alongside a proper spirits list, and the price level is what you'd expect for a hotel venue on this stretch. Doors open at 22:00 every day and it runs to 03:00, but turning up before 23:00 usually means an empty room. Thursday to Saturday are the big nights. If you want quiet conversation, this isn't it. If you want a night out that starts civilized and drifts, it works well.
