Terminal 21 Asok
This multi-storey shopping mall in the heart of Sukhumvit takes a distinctive approach to retail by dedicating each floor to a different global city theme — Tokyo, London, Paris, Istanbul, San Francisco, and others — giving the space a character that sets it apart from conventional malls. The result is a browsing experience that feels genuinely exploratory, with thematic décor carrying through from the architecture to the signage on each level. The retail mix spans international fashion labels, local Thai designers, cosmetics, electronics, and lifestyle goods, making it practical for a wide range of budgets and shopping goals. The food court on the lower ground level is a particular draw, offering an extensive spread of Thai dishes and regional Asian food at accessible prices — a reliable option for a full meal or a quick bite mid-shopping. Restaurants and cafés are distributed across multiple floors for additional variety. On a practical note, the mall is open daily from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM and connects directly to Asok BTS Skytrain station, making it straightforward to reach from most parts of Bangkok without relying on taxis or tuk-tuks. Weekday mornings tend to be noticeably quieter than weekends and Thai public holidays, when foot traffic around the food court and popular retail floors can be heavy. Comfortable shoes are worth considering given the number of levels and walkable floor space involved.

Visitor Reviews
erminal 21 Asok is easily one of the most interesting shopping malls in Bangkok. The whole place is very spacious and each floor is themed around a different world city, which makes walking through the mall surprisingly fun. The highlight for me was definitely the food court — amazing variety of Thai food for incredibly cheap prices, with some dishes starting at around 25 baht. Great quality and perfect if you want to try local food without spending much. A fun place to explore, eat, and escape the Bangkok heat for a while. Highly recommended.
I’m not a big fan of visiting malls when I travel overseas. Asian malls are quite different from those in the US. Terminal 21, for instance, boasts a wide variety of brand-name stores and an impressive selection of food venues. From street food and restaurant food to western food, drinks, and desserts, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. It can be overwhelming, but it’s also a great place to shop and dine. By the way, I noticed that the money exchange rate at Terminal 21 seemed to be better than the ones on the streets.
Top 10 must places in Bangkok Thailand. This shopping mall are beautifully decorated with Japanese, London, San Francisco , Istanbul themes. There are many nice restaurants, a large food court with delicious meals, plenty of stalls to sell snacks. A lot of local Thai brands & international brands in this multilevel shopping mall. There is a high quality supermarket in the basement. The money changer next to the busiest driveway on ground floor is very competitive.

Haggle at Markets, Not Malls
Prices at market stalls are negotiable — start at 50–60% of the asking price and meet in the middle. Fixed-price shops and malls don't haggle. Smile and keep it friendly; aggressive bargaining is considered rude.
Arrive Early or Late
Vendors believe the first sale of the day is lucky — you'll often get a better deal if you arrive right when the market opens. Late in the evening, sellers may also discount to avoid packing unsold goods.
Be Cautious with Tailors
Bangkok has excellent tailors, but also many tourist traps. Avoid anyone offering suspiciously cheap suits or who approaches you on the street. Ask your hotel for recommendations, read reviews, and always get two fittings.
