MBK Food Legends
Occupying the 6th floor of MBK Center on Phaya Thai Road, this well-established food court draws a loyal mix of locals and tourists with its broad selection of Thai dishes and comfortable, air-conditioned setting. Long-standing vendors have maintained their presence here over the years, giving the court a sense of continuity that returning visitors appreciate. The menu spans boat noodles, pad thai, pork rice, grilled skewers, fried chicken, and Thai desserts, with enough variety for groups of mixed tastes to eat together without compromise. The atmosphere is casual and communal in the tradition of Bangkok food courts: shared seating, efficient service, and prices that remain reasonable by city standards. A prepaid card system is in place — visitors load credit onto a card at the cashier, pay at individual stalls, and collect a refund on any unused balance upon leaving. It is a straightforward process, though worth understanding before a first visit to avoid any confusion at the counter. The food court is open daily from 10:00 to 21:00, making it a practical stop throughout the shopping day. Visiting during the mid-afternoon window, roughly between 14:00 and 16:00, typically means thinner crowds compared to the busier midday and early evening periods. It is most convenient for those already spending time in MBK Center, though its reputation means some visitors arrive specifically to eat here rather than to shop.

Visitor Reviews
MBK Food Legends is a popular food court inside MBK Center offering a great mix of tasty Thai and international dishes at reasonable prices. You’ll find classic local eats like pad thai, grilled skewers, papaya salad, curries and desserts, plus drinks and snacks — all in one clean, air-conditioned space. It’s a convenient stop for a quick, affordable meal between shopping at MBK or exploring the nearby Siam area.
Boat noodles is our favourite, lots of choice of meat, a small friendly atmosphere. Moo nam Tok ก๋วยเตี๋ยวหมูน้ำตก . Traditional Thai noodles choose the size of noodles fresh not dried stuff you get in UK. Noodle soup is about the broth. I can confirm that the broth is good. The test is when you do not need to add too much extra flavoring.
This is a food court, customers have to use a payment card where money is paid in. Then when they're finished, any money left in the card will be refunded upon its return. Any criticism about ambience and having too much people, traffic, energy, activity, etc is misplaced. That said, after a whole day of shopping and taking in the frenetic mall culture, in such a highly urbanised setting like Bangkok --- MBK Food Legends becomes a welcome oasis with good food, at reasonable prices. We came with a Thai friend who explained that she used to come here often as a young professional, at the end of very long days at work. Now she was back with us, she reminisced about how much she actually missed the local stalls, since she's based in a different part of the city nowadays. Well, we couldn't agree more. The quality is good and the price even better, so you can have at least two courses: mains and dessert! Like we did.

Tips for Visiting Restaurants & Food
Learn the Spice Scale
Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.
Follow the Crowds
The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.
Ice Is Safe
Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
