Ruamm : Urban Spa Retreat
Tucked along the famous Khao San Road in Bangkok's Phra Nakhon district, this urban spa retreat offers a calm contrast to the lively street scene directly outside its doors. The professional storefront and clearly presented treatment menu make it easy for first-time visitors to understand options and pricing before committing, which repeat guests have noted as a welcoming touch. The spa specialises in massage treatments, with foot massage and oil massage drawing particular praise from travellers who describe the experience as among the most memorable of their time in Thailand. Inside, the atmosphere leans toward relaxed and attentive rather than clinical or rushed. Staff are noted for being personable, and small touches such as complimentary tea served after treatments add to the overall sense of care. The venue attracts a mix of travellers staying on or near Khao San Road, as well as those passing through Bangkok's historic centre, making it a convenient stop whether planned or spontaneous. Good to know: Khao San Road becomes significantly busier and noisier during evening hours, so visiting in the daytime or early afternoon generally means a quieter arrival and departure experience. During peak tourist season, roughly November through February, the area sees higher foot traffic, so dropping in earlier in the day is a practical way to avoid waiting. Comfortable, loose-fitting clothing suits the casual street environment and makes the transition in and out of treatments straightforward.

Visitor Reviews
We stumbled upon this location by chance and were attracted by the professional looking storefront. The menu was clear and it made it easy to understand the costs up front. We had the 90 minute feet, neck, shoulder and head massage package which was more feet and back really but still amazing. Feel like we got value for money and it was just over 90 minutes, didn't get rushed out the door at all
Easily the best foot massage I've ever had. Staying on the street on vacation, and will return again before I leave. The staff was attentive and personable, and as a plus the tea they served after the massage was delicious!! Fantastic experience.
My husband and I just finished our trip throughout Thailand, and this was the best massage we ever had. We went twice. Once for the foot massage and then for an oil massage. The woman completely realigned my back. Incredible!
Tips for Visiting Wellness & Spas
Learn Wat Pho First
Wat Pho in Bangkok is the birthplace of traditional Thai massage education. Their on-site massage pavilion offers excellent treatments from students and graduates at reasonable prices — and you know the technique is authentic.
Communicate Pressure Preferences
Thai massage can be intense. Say 'bao bao' for lighter pressure or 'nак nак' for harder. A good therapist will check in, but don't hesitate to speak up — suffering in silence defeats the purpose.
Book Longer Sessions
A 60-minute massage is fine, but 90 or 120 minutes allows the therapist to work thoroughly. The price difference is often only 200–400 THB for an extra hour — worth it for a deeper, more relaxing experience.
