The Neighbors Hostel
Compare prices
Situated on Phangnga Road in the heart of Phuket Town, The Neighbors Hostel offers budget travellers a practical and sociable base away from the island's busier coastal resort strips. The central location puts guests within walking distance of local restaurants, cafes, temples, markets, and bars, while a nearby bus station makes day trips to Patong Beach and other destinations straightforward to organise. The hostel appeals particularly to solo travellers and backpackers, with a friendly atmosphere that encourages guest interaction. Private rooms are available alongside shared options, with air conditioning and street-facing windows reported by guests. Affordable on-site laundry facilities add to the practical appeal. Staff have been noted for their helpfulness, and the property maintains a generally clean standard throughout. Like most hostels, the experience can vary depending on room allocation, so it is worth reading recent reviews before booking. Good to know: The hostel operates daily from 7:30 AM to 10:00 PM, so travellers with very late arrivals should confirm check-in arrangements in advance. Accommodation in central Phuket fills quickly between November and February during peak season, making early bookings advisable. The town-centre location suits those who want an authentic local experience rather than immediate beach access, though the trade-off is a short commute to the island's main beaches.

Visitor Reviews
I recently stayed at this hostel and I have to say, it was one of the best hostel experiences I've ever had! The place was clean, cozy, and had a great atmosphere. The staff was super friendly and helpful, and I want to give a special shoutout to Terry. She was incredibly nice and went out of her way to make sure I had everything I needed. From giving me local tips to helping with my luggage, Terry was always on hand to assist. Her warm and welcoming nature made me feel right at home. I highly recommend this hostel to anyone looking for a comfortable and social place to stay. Terry's exceptional service really made my stay here unforgettable. I'll definitely be coming back! - Vaibhav Kasyap 😀
Pretty nice hostel. Stayed in private room, which has AC and window with a view to a big street. Room is clean, no problem spotted. Washing machines are available for 30 baht. The cleanliness in bathroom could be improved a bit. It would be better to have a shelf or hanger in the shower as there is no place to put clothes or shampoo
Everything is very nice I am very happy to stay there I am recommend everyone who solo travel this hostel is in town very easy to go to Restaurant, Cafe, Temple, Bar, Market and also near by Bus station The price is very cheap and you will enjoy to stay there. The staff is very nice. ❤️

Tips for Visiting Hotels & Resorts
Book Shoulder Season
May–June and September–October offer dramatic discounts (30–50% off peak rates) with fewer crowds. Weather is mixed but rarely a washout — afternoon showers clear quickly.
Compare OTAs and Direct Rates
Always check the hotel's own website after finding a rate on Agoda or Booking.com. Many Thai properties offer a best-rate guarantee or throw in perks like free breakfast when you book direct.
Pool Villa Doesn't Mean Expensive
Private pool villas in Krabi, Hua Hin, and Chiang Mai start around 2,500–4,000 THB/night — a fraction of Bali or Maldives prices. Search specifically for 'pool villa' to surface hidden gems.
