Surf & Turf by Soul Kitchen
Tucked along Phangnga Road in Phuket Old Town, Surf & Turf by Soul Kitchen is an intimate evening restaurant drawing serious attention for its fusion approach to seafood and grilled meats. Dishes like wagyu beef have drawn particular praise from diners, and the restaurant has received nods toward Michelin recognition — a reflection of the kitchen's evident passion and technical care. The cooking balances bold flavours with thoughtful presentation, setting it apart from the broader dining scene in the area. The atmosphere is relaxed but considered, well-suited to couples and small groups looking for a meaningful dinner rather than a casual bite. Service is generally attentive, and the wine selection adds to the appeal for those wanting a complete dining experience. Pricing sits at the mid-range level, which feels appropriate given the quality on the plate, though some visitors have noted that service consistency can occasionally fall short of expectations. Good to know: the restaurant opens exclusively for dinner from 6pm to 10pm, seven days a week. Advance reservations are strongly recommended and, according to regular visitors, essentially required — walk-ins risk missing out entirely. The booking process has been described by some diners as slightly cumbersome, so it is worth planning ahead and confirming arrangements before arriving. The Facebook page listed on the directory serves as the primary online presence for contact and updates.

Visitor Reviews
So impressed with every dish I tried, especially the first one and wagyu beef – I am sure if you come here you will feel the same as me as their passion behind the cooking, and the flavors are absolutely amazing! Both chefs created an extraordinary dining experience for all of us. I’ll definitely be coming back again! The only challenge I faced was parking. If you plan to visit, I recommend taking Grab or arranging parking in advance before reaching the restaurant.
The atmosphere, prices, and service at the restaurant are all quite good, and the food is served quickly and continuously. I honestly don’t have enough words to praise them. If you’re a food lover, you simply must experience Surf & Turf for yourself.

Tips for Visiting Restaurants & Food
Learn the Spice Scale
Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.
Follow the Crowds
The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.
Ice Is Safe
Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
