Kuha Phuket Old Town
Kuha Phuket Old Town is a highly regarded hostel situated on Thanon Talang, right in the heart of Phuket's charming Old Town neighbourhood. The property stands out for its cleanliness and thoughtful aesthetic, with brand-new furnishings, comfortable beds fitted with private curtains for added privacy, and bathrooms that guests consistently describe as immaculate. Each dorm room is equipped with proper air conditioning, and the shared facilities — two toilets and two showers per room — are well-maintained and reliably stocked. Beyond the physical space, the hostel earns particular praise for its owners, who are known for greeting guests warmly, offering personalised travel recommendations, and accommodating flexible check-in arrangements. The atmosphere is quiet, social, and welcoming, attracting a mix of travellers who appreciate both comfort and good company. Being based in Phuket Old Town means guests are within easy walking distance of the area's Sino-Portuguese architecture, local cafes, street food vendors, and cultural landmarks. For practical planning, the hostel operates as a dorm-style property, making it a smart choice for solo travellers or those on a budget who still want a clean, well-run place to stay. Bookings are handled through the property's online reservation system, and given the small scale of the operation and strong reputation, reserving in advance is advisable — especially during the high season between November and April when Phuket sees its highest visitor numbers.

Visitor Reviews
Loved to stay here, everything is so clean and aesthetic! The beds are really comfortable and private, the toilets always have paper and hand wash, there’s 2 toilets and 2 showers for a room which is plenty. The AC in the room is always at the perfect temperature, so the room never gets hot. You can have breakfast for cheap and they do some amazing milkshakes! Above all, everyone in the staff is really nice and welcoming making you feel right at home. Bottom line, couldn’t recommend it more, will definitely be back if I have the chance!
This hostel is amazing and the two owners are the most helpful, kind and welcoming people, always saying good morning and giving us travel suggestions. The dorms were quiet and clean and the people we met were lovely and friendly. The check in process was simple and easy and communication was always clear. We also had an iced coffee made and this was so good! Phuket old town is a quiet and calm area with cute shops to explore and this is the perfect place to stay during your time there. We would definitely recommend.
Had a fantastic stay at this hostel. The rooms were lovely and clean, as were the bathrooms. Super friendly and nice vibe! The owners were so friendly and helpful, offering advice on things to do and see in the area. Would recommend this hostel for anyone looking for a comfortable, quiet stay in Phuket Old Town. The hostel is also very close to the main part of Old Town, which is very convenient. The coffee here was also lovely! Thank you for a wonderful stay!
Tips for Visiting Hotels & Resorts
Book Shoulder Season
May–June and September–October offer dramatic discounts (30–50% off peak rates) with fewer crowds. Weather is mixed but rarely a washout — afternoon showers clear quickly.
Compare OTAs and Direct Rates
Always check the hotel's own website after finding a rate on Agoda or Booking.com. Many Thai properties offer a best-rate guarantee or throw in perks like free breakfast when you book direct.
Pool Villa Doesn't Mean Expensive
Private pool villas in Krabi, Hua Hin, and Chiang Mai start around 2,500–4,000 THB/night — a fraction of Bali or Maldives prices. Search specifically for 'pool villa' to surface hidden gems.
