Craft Resort & Villas
Nestled in Tambon Ratsada within Phuket's main district, this boutique resort and villas property distinguishes itself through a standout design feature: private pool access directly from guest rooms. While the resort is marketed as having five pools, the experience is largely defined by the semi-private pool just steps from each room's back door, making it particularly well-suited to guests who prioritise relaxed, unhurried downtime over shared resort facilities. Rooms are consistently described by visitors as clean, spacious, and comfortable, and the staff receives frequent praise for genuine warmth and attentiveness. The atmosphere leans toward quiet and intimate rather than lively or social, making it a strong choice for couples or independent travellers looking to unwind. Breakfast is available on-site, offering a convenient start to the day without needing to venture far. The central Phuket location keeps beaches, local restaurants, and transport links within practical reach for those who do want to explore. Good to know: Book directly through the resort's website at craftresortphuket.com to check current rates and availability. The dry season from November through February offers the most reliable weather for making the most of outdoor pool areas. Travellers sensitive to pool cleanliness should be aware that some guests have noted debris accumulation in the room-side pools despite regular cleaning efforts, likely due to surrounding greenery.

Visitor Reviews
We stayed at Craft Hotel with high expectations, and it truly exceeded them. Everyone was incredibly kind and helpful from the very first moment — whenever we had a question or needed help, the staff assisted us immediately with a smile. As part of our booking, we also received a complimentary 60-minute massage, which was an amazing extra and made the stay even more special. The hotel is absolutely beautiful, with gorgeous decorations, a very clean and well-maintained pool, and spotless rooms. The service felt extra attentive throughout our stay. Honestly, the best place we’ve stayed at in Phuket. Highly recommended — we would definitely come back.
I had a generally pleasant stay at CRAFT Resort & Villas. The rooms were impressive—very clean and comfortable. A huge shoutout to the staff, who were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. It was also super convenient that they offer guidance for different tours and rentals right on-site, which made planning our days much easier. However, there were a few downsides. The location is a bit out of reach if you're looking to be close to the main action. Also, the breakfast was disappointing; the selection was poor, and the eggs were consistently served cold. If they improve the breakfast quality, this would be a much better experience.
Very nice resort. I enjoyed my stay. If you want to relax, this resort is a good place to be. No need to bother going to the sea or taking the elavator to visit the pool, it is right in your back yard. The staff are so kind and friendly. The location has it up and downside to it. Up being close to Old Phuket Town, they have a free shuttle that goes up and down. Compared to kamala, patong etc. You see more of the life of the locals, which is really nice. Downside is that if you dont have your own vehicle you are dependent on taxi’s or the shuttle. I rented a scooter, so it didnt affect me that much. Great place, can defintely recommend!
Tips for Visiting Hotels & Resorts
Book Shoulder Season
May–June and September–October offer dramatic discounts (30–50% off peak rates) with fewer crowds. Weather is mixed but rarely a washout — afternoon showers clear quickly.
Compare OTAs and Direct Rates
Always check the hotel's own website after finding a rate on Agoda or Booking.com. Many Thai properties offer a best-rate guarantee or throw in perks like free breakfast when you book direct.
Pool Villa Doesn't Mean Expensive
Private pool villas in Krabi, Hua Hin, and Chiang Mai start around 2,500–4,000 THB/night — a fraction of Bali or Maldives prices. Search specifically for 'pool villa' to surface hidden gems.
