Our Nomad Boutique Hostel Phuket

4.7(193 reviews)

Our Nomad Boutique Hostel sits on Phangnga Road in central Phuket Town, placing guests within easy reach of local transport, dining, and the city's heritage streets. The hostel appears to be recently renovated, and its proximity to Bus Terminal 1 makes it a practical base for travellers planning to explore the broader island or connect to other destinations in Thailand. Rooms are consistently described by guests as clean, well-organised, and comfortably furnished, with amenities including fresh linen, towels, a hairdryer, toothbrush, shampoo, and shower gel provided as standard. Both private rooms and shared accommodation are available, catering to solo travellers, small groups, and those on a budget who still want a well-maintained environment. The bathrooms in particular receive strong praise for being spacious, bright, and spotless. Staff are noted for being warm and attentive, contributing to an atmosphere that feels welcoming rather than transactional. The common areas offer a social space without being overwhelming, making it suitable for travellers who want the option to connect with others but value a quieter, boutique feel. Good to know: The hostel's location near Bus Terminal 1 is a genuine practical advantage, as the yellow buses serving various parts of Phuket depart from there. Phuket's peak season runs from November to February, so booking ahead is advisable during those months. For current pricing, availability, and room type details, contact the hostel directly via their Facebook page, as this information is not listed in standard directories.

Visitor Reviews

I really enjoyed my stay at Our Nomad Boutique Hostel. The hostel was impeccably clean and appeared to be recently renovated, with the bathroom area in particular being bright, spacious, and spotless. I stayed in the 10-bed female dorm, which had plenty of natural light, generous under-bed luggage storage, lockers, and privacy curtains. The mattress was on the firmer side but comfortable, and the cozy comforter was a welcome upgrade from the typical flimsy sheets many hostels provide. The location is excellent! Within easy walking distance of the airport bus, Old Town restaurants and shops, with a 7-Eleven right next door. I also highly recommend trying the street food in the area. Additional perks include free drinking water, basic toiletries, snacks, a lounge area with games, a clean kitchen with cooking supplies, and a balcony for relaxing or smoking. There is no elevator, so keep that in mind if you have very heavy luggage. The staff member who checked me in and gave me a tour was incredibly friendly and welcoming, even helping me plan my airport bus for the following day. The hostel was quiet and peaceful during my stay, making it the perfect place to rest and recover before a long flight.

I loved my stay at Our Nomad Hostel. I originally booked for two nights but ended up staying for an extra week. The hostel is situated just a few steps from Bus Terminal 1, which is where the yellow bus from Phuket Airport arrives. The entire hostel is beautifully decorated and has every facility you could need: a lobby cafe, a common area with a kitchen, clean shower rooms, and comfortable private and dorm rooms. I stayed in a mixed dorm. The room was spacious with a large window facing the street. I especially appreciated the thoughtful layout, including the blackout privacy curtains and the plenty of storage space around the bed. While the mattress is quite firm, I surprisingly slept perfectly without any discomfort. The dorm was quiet and the soundproofing is excellent, so no outside noise disturbed my sleep. The staff are beyond kind, helpful, and hospitable. This place truly feels like home. Whenever I return to Phuket, I’ll be staying here again! Note: If you have heavy luggage, be aware there is no elevator and the staircase is narrow. Also, reception closes at night, so inform them in advance if you plan to arrive late.

The hostel is very clean and organized - bed and linen are fresh and comfy, hairdryer/towels/toothbrush/shampoo/shower gel are provided. A nice surprise is that the location of the hostel is just 3 mins walk from the bus terminal (airport - Phuket town). Very convenient and easily accessible. 7/11 and a restaurant (very decent Thai food) is just 1 min walk away too. The hostel lady owner/manager gave a detailed tour of the hostel and the places around when first arrived. She is very thoughtful - shows concern and attention to her guests. Overall it was a very pleasant stay and definitely recommended for travelers, solo or not.

Tips for Visiting Hotels & Resorts

Book Shoulder Season

May–June and September–October offer dramatic discounts (30–50% off peak rates) with fewer crowds. Weather is mixed but rarely a washout — afternoon showers clear quickly.

Compare OTAs and Direct Rates

Always check the hotel's own website after finding a rate on Agoda or Booking.com. Many Thai properties offer a best-rate guarantee or throw in perks like free breakfast when you book direct.

Pool Villa Doesn't Mean Expensive

Private pool villas in Krabi, Hua Hin, and Chiang Mai start around 2,500–4,000 THB/night — a fraction of Bali or Maldives prices. Search specifically for 'pool villa' to surface hidden gems.
