Siripanna Villa Resort & Spa, Chiang Mai

4.2(1,573 reviews)

Set along Rat Uthit Road in Chiang Mai, Siripanna Villa Resort & Spa offers a lush, garden-style retreat with a distinctly Thai atmosphere. The resort features an outdoor pool, a garden restaurant, and a spa, making it a reasonable base for travellers looking to balance sightseeing with downtime. Guests who have stayed in the plunge pool rooms note that the spaces are generally spacious and well-equipped, and the resort's architecture and food offerings lean into an authentic local character that appeals to those seeking more than a generic hotel experience. That said, prospective guests should go in with realistic expectations. Some visitors have noted that parts of the common areas show signs of wear, and the location can make rideshare pickups less convenient than more centrally situated hotels — worth factoring in if you plan to move around the city frequently. Breakfast receives generally positive mentions, typically served as a buffet. Good to know: the resort is surrounded by greenery, which means mosquitos can be a genuine nuisance, particularly in warmer months — packing insect repellent is strongly recommended. Visiting during Chiang Mai's cooler season (November to February) is pleasant for the climate, though the outdoor areas may feel less enticing in the cold. Checking the resort's website directly at siripanna.com for current room types and rates before booking is advisable, as room quality and amenities can vary.

Visitor Reviews

We had a lovely stay. Although slightly rundown in bits of the common areas the rooms were spacious and well equipped. We stayed in the plunge pool room, the pool jets weren't working and we were offered the use of the neighbours pool which was odd when it was occupied, this didn't however spoil our stay as there were two other communal pools to choose from. Our private terrace by our plunge pool was a welcome spot to rest out of the midday sun. The two communal pools on the complex were beautifully landscaped with trees and lights around, were hardly used but we did come in Feb, so not sure how busy it would get in the height for summer. The buffet breakfast had a wide selection of western and Asian options to choose from. The location was perfect away from the busy old city, yet a short Grab/taxi ride away, not really walkable. But has a few cute restaurants and bar along the front and around the corner. We spent 200baht, in a cute family run restaurant across the road, for lunch and we ate loads! A cute cafe/restaurant a few minutes walk away. Definitely would recommend a stay here as good value for money and would most definitely return

Beautiful resort. We were there in January so too cold to enjoy outside areas. Lots of mosquitos, bring bug spray. Rooms were very nice and so is the feel of the resort. Breakfast was good and buffet style. Self-serve coffee machines is always a bonus for me. It’s a bit out of the way but very quiet. The staff was super nice and friendly.

At Siripanna Resort, we got a truly authentic Thai experience. We stayed 2 nights, as part of our holiday in Chiang Mai. Whether it’s a bit rustic-looking architecture or the Thai food offerings - the property met our expectations really well. Staff members are really welcoming and friendly. The location of the resort is convenient and quiet at same time— a characteristic of top properties in Chiang Mai. Some of the things—like doors and lighting fixtures—could use some maintenance work. The rest is all in perfect condition.
