Pai River Villa
Sitting on the banks of the Pai River in Vieng Tai, this traditional Thai stilt house hotel offers a genuine connection to Pai's natural setting and unhurried character. The riverside location provides calm and quiet despite being only a three-minute walk from the town's popular night market, making it a practical base for exploring the area without sacrificing atmosphere. Bungalow-style accommodation is available, with guests noting cosy rooms and pleasant views over the water. Rooms are clean and presented in a traditional rather than modern style, which suits the character of the property. The bed quality and in-room amenities reflect a two-star category, so travellers should set expectations accordingly. Staff have been singled out for their warmth and helpfulness, which contributes meaningfully to the overall experience. The riverside setting largely screens out town noise, though occasional events nearby — such as tubing parties on the river — can break the quiet. Good to know: Pai's night market runs along the main street from around 6 PM to 10 PM, and during this time road access near the hotel is closed to vehicles. Guests arriving after 6 PM should plan to walk in from a nearby parking area, which takes only a few minutes. Pai is best visited between November and February when temperatures are cooler and the skies are clearest. The town is reached by minibus from Chiang Mai in roughly three to four hours, with winding mountain roads that can be challenging for those prone to motion sickness.

Visitor Reviews
Amazing time over there. The bungalow is super cozy, clean and the view awesome. Special thanks to the lady at the reception who was absolutely a model of kindness. Only thing that should be changed is that on booking.com and edreams they say that they can provide a free shuttle from the airport and the way back for free. Which is not the case. So, please change this, because it can be a problem, and your place will deserve a perfect note! Anyway, thanks for everything.
This is a traditional Thai stilt house hotel, right next to the river, and only a 3-minute walk to the night market, very convenient. The room is not decorated in a modern style, but it is clean and tidy and comfortable to live in. There was no breakfast provided on the day we stayed, but there was tea and a fully automatic coffee machine, which was enough for me and I was very satisfied.
The location of the hotel is great, it's very close to the Main Street and u don't hear noises, except of the day that there is party's tubing (100 m from the hotel). The room is clean, the staff are very friendly, and brought us water and towels everyday. The just one thing that's in the shower the water doesn't go down well in the drainage system. If pillow or something like that will be added to the balcony it's will be awesome. In addition there is a coffee corner for free I recommend about this hotel
Tips for Visiting Hotels & Resorts
Book Shoulder Season
May–June and September–October offer dramatic discounts (30–50% off peak rates) with fewer crowds. Weather is mixed but rarely a washout — afternoon showers clear quickly.
Compare OTAs and Direct Rates
Always check the hotel's own website after finding a rate on Agoda or Booking.com. Many Thai properties offer a best-rate guarantee or throw in perks like free breakfast when you book direct.
Pool Villa Doesn't Mean Expensive
Private pool villas in Krabi, Hua Hin, and Chiang Mai start around 2,500–4,000 THB/night — a fraction of Bali or Maldives prices. Search specifically for 'pool villa' to surface hidden gems.
