About Mango House Seafront Villas and Suites
Mango House is a small group of Chinese-style wooden pole houses on Sriraya Road in Lanta Old Town, built on stilts over the sea on Koh Lanta's east coast and converted into places to stay. There's a family villa, three seafront suites and a set of simpler Mango Rooms at the water's edge. Seafront Suite One is a renovated pole house about 50 years old with vaulted ceilings and a kitchenette, and Suite Three was once the honeymoon suite, cooled by fans and the sea breeze.
Guests write about hearing the sea under the floorboards, hammocks on the decks and the sunrise over the water, which is the point of staying on this side of the island. There's no beach in Old Town, so you'd ride to the west coast to swim, and the evenings are quiet once the day visitors leave. Book through its own site for its price list.
