Sunrise is the whole point here, and it means dragging yourself out of bed before five in temperatures that can sit around 10 to 12 degrees. Bring a proper layer. What you get for the effort is the full geography of Pai laid out below you, the town ringed by mountains, cloud filling the valley floor. Reviewers who turned up between eight and nine still found the valley covered, so you don't have to be first light to make it worthwhile.
Entry is 20 baht a head. It's a Chinese village site, red lanterns and all, about ten minutes outside town, and you'll need a scooter or car to get there. The road steepens sharply at the end. Coffee, tea, light food, snacks and souvenirs are sold on site, and the restrooms are free. Sit with a hot drink and wait for the light.

Reviews from Google
Nice place of interest to have a lookout of pai. If you are coming before the sunrise, you might have to park ur vehicle at the Chinese village and take the transport from the locals. I arrived after 8am and could ride up directly. It's a steep road at the end. You can see the entire place covered with clouds if you arrive around 8-9. 20B per entry
Beautiful popular spot to watch the sunrise. The place gets crowded pretty soon though, so you want to come early and save your spot. There are free restroom. Food snacks and souvenir are available for purchase here.
The viewpoint is a beautiful spot, even though we didn’t get to see the sunrise because of the clouds. The entrance fee is 20 THB per person. Inside, you can enjoy a nice cup of coffee or tea in a lovely, peaceful atmosphere. Definitely worth a stop!

Tips for Visiting Activities & Tours
Book Popular Activities Online
Booking platforms like GetYourGuide give you instant confirmation and, on many activities, free cancellation — and you can read recent reviews before committing. Compare with local agencies for multi-day trips where negotiation might save more.
Do Outdoor Activities in the Morning
Heat and humidity peak from noon to 3 PM. Schedule jungle treks, cycling tours, and outdoor cooking classes for early morning. Water activities are more flexible since you're in and out of the sea.
Check Operator Safety Records
For adventure activities (zip-lining, bungee jumping, diving), check recent reviews specifically mentioning equipment condition and safety briefings. Thailand's regulation varies — reputable operators will have insurance and certified guides.
