The Sylvana Pai Hotel
Situated at the end of Pai's walking street on Viengtai Chaisongkram Road, this hotel places guests within easy reach of the town's night market, restaurants, bars, cafes, pharmacies, and bus connections. The central position makes it a practical base for both those who want to immerse themselves in Pai's lively street scene and those using the town as a launching point for nearby attractions such as the hot springs, canyon, and local temples. The property features a small pool that guests highlight as a welcome retreat, along with attractive grounds that include outdoor seating areas and parking. Rooms are described as clean and well-stocked by satisfied guests, and the overall atmosphere reflects Pai's characteristically relaxed, bohemian character. It is worth noting that the walking street location, while convenient, does bring some noise, and a small number of guests have raised concerns about room upkeep and staff responsiveness, so expectations are best kept at a comfortable, practical level rather than boutique hotel standards. For practical planning, Pai is most comfortably visited between November and February when the mountain climate is cooler and drier. The town sits roughly three to four hours from Chiang Mai via winding mountain roads. Prospective guests should be aware that the hotel appears to enforce a check-in cut-off time, so those arriving by bus on a tight schedule should confirm arrival arrangements directly with the property before booking to avoid complications.

Visitor Reviews
Very close to night market, loads of food options and very quiet spot. Pool is lovely and perfect for cooling off, although there is limited lounger space there is plenty of outside seating and even a cosy quiet spot to watch the fish swim around. Staff are very helpful and friendly. I would definitely stay here again.
The place is just few steps at the walking street. Very accessible to everything, food, bar, pharmacy, massage, 7.11, bus stations. But when going to excursions like hotspring, temple or canyon, it is advisable to rent a motor. Our room is just in front of the kiddie pool and is clean.
We had a great little stay here. Amazing location, clean well stocked room. Grounds were beautiful with sitting areas, parking and a small pool.
Tips for Visiting Hotels & Resorts
Book Shoulder Season
May–June and September–October offer dramatic discounts (30–50% off peak rates) with fewer crowds. Weather is mixed but rarely a washout — afternoon showers clear quickly.
Compare OTAs and Direct Rates
Always check the hotel's own website after finding a rate on Agoda or Booking.com. Many Thai properties offer a best-rate guarantee or throw in perks like free breakfast when you book direct.
Pool Villa Doesn't Mean Expensive
Private pool villas in Krabi, Hua Hin, and Chiang Mai start around 2,500–4,000 THB/night — a fraction of Bali or Maldives prices. Search specifically for 'pool villa' to surface hidden gems.
