non@Chiang Mai Hostel

4.6(45 reviews)

Situated on Ratchamanka Road in the heart of Chiang Mai's old city, non@Chiang Mai Hostel draws travellers looking for a clean, comfortable base with genuine hospitality. The hostel occupies an industrial-inspired space that feels well-maintained throughout, with spacious private rooms, dormitory options, and shared bathrooms that guests consistently praise for their cleanliness. A pantry, terrace, and free Wi-Fi round out the practical amenities.

What sets this hostel apart is the attentiveness of its owner, who is regularly present, helpful with local recommendations, and has been known to stay up late to welcome guests arriving on night flights. The atmosphere is calm and quiet despite the central location, which puts walkers within easy reach of markets, restaurants, and the old city's main attractions without placing them in the thick of street noise.

Reception operates daily from 09:00 to 21:00, so guests planning very late arrivals should contact the hostel in advance to make arrangements, as reviewers note that staff are responsive to these requests when given notice. Private rooms with shared bathrooms offer a solid middle ground for couples or solo travellers who want more space without paying a premium for an en-suite. Booking ahead is advisable, particularly during Chiang Mai's peak season between November and February.

Stayed here for 3 nights, arriving from a late flight at 1am. I advised the hostel ahead of time of the late arrival and the owner stayed up to welcome us. He was present everyday and was very friendly making sure we were ok. The free self service coffee every morning was a plus. We got the private room with a large bed and it suited our needs. The bed was comfortable and the toilet and shower rooms outside the hallway were fairly clean. There is a coin laundry on site but we found the dryer to need a lot of coins to actually dry. I would just reccomend doing a full laundry service instead, which you can find nearby. There is a scooter and bicycle rental right around the corner. Overall, I would stay at this hostel again and highlit reccomend

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 4 nights in Chiang Mai and it was perfect for us. It’s in a great location: walking distance to lots of markets and restaurants, but far enough from the noise of the busy streets. The owner is very friendly too!

Great quality for the price. We booked a private room with a shared bathroom. All good and clean. The owner is very helpful and the location is top notch. A good quiet hostel :)
