MAYA Lifestyle Shopping Center
Located on Huay Kaew Road in the Chang Phueak area of Chiang Mai, MAYA Lifestyle Shopping Center is a contemporary multi-storey mall catering to both locals and visitors. It brings together a wide range of retail boutiques, including showrooms for major brands, alongside a well-stocked selection of gift and lifestyle shops — making it a practical stop for everything from everyday essentials to holiday souvenirs. Dining is a genuine highlight here. The fourth-floor food court offers a broad mix of local Thai dishes and international options, while a separate basement food area provides additional choices, including healthier fare. Beyond eating and shopping, the mall houses a cinema, a children's game zone, and various cafes, giving it enough variety to fill a few hours comfortably. Visitors consistently note that the space is clean, spacious, and well-maintained, with a calm atmosphere that sets it apart from busier commercial centres in the city. MAYA opens daily from 10:00 to 22:00, making it a convenient option for a midday break from sightseeing or a relaxed evening out. It is particularly popular with travellers staying near the Nimman Road area, which is within easy walking or short ride distance. On weekends and during public holidays the mall can get busier, so visiting on a weekday morning or early afternoon is a good way to enjoy a quieter experience.

Visitor Reviews
I don’t think I’ve ever reviewed a mall before, but this one brings back so many good memories. My husband and I have dined here many times. The food court is fantastic, with a wide variety of local dishes at street prices. The quality was great, everything was clean, and the food was safe. Khao Soi and Hainan chicken were fantastic. There are many locals eating here too, which was reassuring :) There are also lots of cute shops and drugstores. During the Christmas holidays, there was an open air food market with some excellent roti. And there’s a huge Ganesh statue right at the front!
Large, quiet, modern, clean, fresh shopping center. I loved the food area in the basement with many options including a stall with healthy chicken, no msg, air fried. Delicious and healthy at a reasonable price. Come here if you are hungry and want something healthy. The cinema on the high floor is top tier. Large comfy seats, great ac, audio, screen, and I love the details is very well designed and maintained
Maya Lifestyle Shopping Center is one of the best modern malls in Chiang Mai, offering a perfect mix of shopping, dining, and entertainment. The mall is clean, spacious, and well-organized, with a great variety of international brands, local boutiques, and specialty stores. The food options are fantastic — from Thai street food at the basement food court to trendy cafés and international restaurants. I especially love the rooftop area, which offers beautiful city views, especially in the evening. The cinema here is top-notch, and there are plenty of events and pop-up markets happening regularly. Conveniently located near the Nimman area, it’s an ideal place to shop, relax, and enjoy some air-conditioned comfort in the city.

Tips for Visiting Markets & Shopping
Haggle at Markets, Not Malls
Prices at market stalls are negotiable — start at 50–60% of the asking price and meet in the middle. Fixed-price shops and malls don't haggle. Smile and keep it friendly; aggressive bargaining is considered rude.
Arrive Early or Late
Vendors believe the first sale of the day is lucky — you'll often get a better deal if you arrive right when the market opens. Late in the evening, sellers may also discount to avoid packing unsold goods.
Be Cautious with Tailors
Bangkok has excellent tailors, but also many tourist traps. Avoid anyone offering suspiciously cheap suits or who approaches you on the street. Ask your hotel for recommendations, read reviews, and always get two fittings.
